UP DGME notifies on round 1 NEET PG counselling choice filling, details

Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (UPDGME), Uttar Pradesh, has issued a notice regarding the extension of the choice-filling schedule for the first round of the UP National Eligibility and Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling for the academic year 2025 for the MD, MS, Diploma, and DNB courses under the state quota.
According to the notice, the decision has been made following the directives of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi. The DGME had earlier extended the registration and fee deposition dates until November 14, 2025, to facilitate candidates facing technical delays.
Now, the online choice filling for Round 1 has been extended and will continue until November 19, 2025, up to 5:00 PM, giving candidates a total of five days to complete the process.
Candidates who have successfully registered and deposited the required security money under UP NEET PG 2025 are eligible to fill and lock their preferred choices during this period. DGME has advised all participants to carefully verify and lock their choices before the deadline to avoid disqualification or loss of seat preference.

Earlier, UPDGME had issued a notice announcing the debarment of seven candidates who had resigned from their allotted MD/MS seats during the academic session 2024-25. On this, Medical Dialogues reported that these candidates will not be eligible for admission in the UP National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025-26 counselling process.
In its 2024 notice, the counselling authority had stated that “for medical/dental colleges of government/private sector, if the concerned candidates leave the seat after the final round of counselling before completing the course, then they will be debarred from the admission process of the next academic session”.
