UP DGME notifies PG fee structure for 6 private medical colleges, details

Uttar Pradesh: The Uttar Pradesh has recently approved annual tuition fees for a total of six private medical colleges across the state for the academic year 2025-26.
The notification in this regard has been issued by the UP DGME on its official website.
The government issued an order requiring several private colleges to reduce annual fees for postgraduate (PG) medical courses by 25-50 lakh rupees for three years. The order stated, "Students must pay tuition fees annually, and under no circumstances will tuition fees be paid in advance. Colleges are free to charge less than the fees stated above."
GS Medical College in Hapur approved annual fees of 13.68 lakh rupees for clinical courses and 10.26 lakh rupees for non-clinical courses. KD Medical College, Mathura and Narayan Medical College, Kanpur, will charge Rs 10.26 lakh per year for the non-clinical stream and Saraswati Medical College, Unnao, has fixed Rs 13.68 lakh for pathology.
Meanwhile, in addition to tuition fees, the state government has approved annual hostel charges ranging from ₹202,225 to ₹346,500, depending on the room type. The total hostel fee for the three-year term will range from ₹6 lakh to ₹10 lakh; this amount includes mess charges for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Apart from this, a refundable one-time security deposit of Rs 5 lakh has been fixed to cover hospital, library, laboratory and other institutional security parts.
Moreover, the government has set a cap of ₹141,240 per year for various fees. This includes university registration fees, development fees, library fees, student association fees, gym and sports charges, admission fees, and examination fees. However, private colleges are prohibited from charging fees exceeding the amount set by the Fee Regulatory Committee (FRA).
