GUIDELINES FOR ONLINE COUNSELLING FOR THE SECOND CYCLE UNDER UP NEET UG 2025
Allotment of seats in the 2nd round of counselling will be based on the merit list of the 2nd round.
Candidates unallocated and admitted in the first round of counselling will not be required to deposit the security amount again to participate in the second round of counselling.
There is a provision of free exit for the candidates allotted in the first round of counselling if they do not take admission or resign after admission, hence if such candidates want to participate in the second round of counselling, they need not deposit the security amount again.
In the first and second cycle counselling under UP NEET UG 2025, only those candidates who have deposited the registration/security amount by the prescribed date and time, and whose documents have been verified online, are eligible for the choice filling process.
At the time of choice filling in the second round of counselling, the vacant / not reported and resigned seats of the first round will be displayed to the candidates as a clear-cut vacancy. Apart from the said vacancy, the option of Seat Against Cancellation (SAC) will also be displayed. SAC seats are a type of virtual vacancy. If the seat of a previously admitted candidate is upgraded, then his seat will be allotted to another candidate based on merit or option, as per the rules.
Candidates should fill out online choices on the basis of preference for admission to government/private sector medical/dental colleges. Candidates should fill in choices of only those colleges in which they are interested in getting admission. There is no limit for online choice filling. It is mandatory for the candidates to lock their choices after choice filling. In case of not locking the choices, the candidates will not be included in the seat allocation process, for which the entire responsibility will be on the candidates themselves.
After the choice is locked by the candidate, no change or alteration can be made in it, nor any application received in this regard in the Directorate General will be considered.
If any other seat is allotted as per the option given by the candidate for reallocation, then the previously allotted seat will automatically become vacant and will be allotted to some other candidate. In case there is no reallocation, the seat occupied by the candidate earlier will remain as it is.
It must be ensured by the candidate that for re-allotment, another option/choice should be filled by leaving the option of the previously admitted seat; otherwise, in case the previously admitted seat is re-allotted, the candidate will have to appear at the nodal centre and complete the admission process as before.
For the academic session 2025-26, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Noida, has been granted LOP for 50 seats by NMC. The state quota seats of the said medical college are being included in the seat matrix by applying the roster as per the reservation system given for state quota seats.
