UP NEET 2025: Special stray vacancy round begins for MBBS, BDS admissions, registration open till december 22

Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (UPDGME), Uttar Pradesh, has commenced the Special Stray Vacancy Round of UP NEET UG Counselling for the academic year 2025 for admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the state quota in government and private medical and dental colleges.

The schedule has been issued in line with the timetable released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, and applies to undergraduate medical admissions for the academic year 2025-26.

As per the schedule released by the UPDGME in this regard, online registration and document upload for the Special Stray Vacancy Round will commence from today, i.e. December 19, 2025, at 5:00 PM, and remain open till December 22, 2025, 11:00 AM. During the same period, candidates must also deposit the registration fee and security money, with the deadline for payment set at December 22, 2025, 2:00 PM.

Meanwhile, the merit list for this round will be declared on December 22, 2025. The eligible candidates can then participate in online choice filling from December 22, 2025 (5:00 PM) to December 26, 2025 (11:00 AM). Following this, the seat allotment result will be published on December 26, 2025, following which candidates can download their allotment letters and complete admission formalities between December 27 and December 31, 2025. IMPORTANT INFORMATION/GUIDELINES FOR CANDIDATES PARTICIPATING IN THE SPECIAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND UNDER UP NEET UG 2025

1 Only those candidates will be eligible for the Special Stray Vacancy Round who have not been allotted any seat in any round of counselling of UP NEET UG-2025.

2 Candidates admitted through All India Counselling of NEET UG-2025 and any other round of counselling of other states will not be eligible for the Special Stray Vacancy Round.

3 Candidates Admitted/Not Reported after allotment/Resigned from 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Stray Vacancy Round of UP NEET UG-2025 are not eligible for Special Stray Vacancy Round.

4 To participate in the Special Stray Vacancy Round, all eligible candidates must submit a separate registration fee of ₹2,000 and submit a new registration fee. The registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

5 Candidates registered and unallocated in the counselling of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and stray vacancy rounds, who have already deposited the earnest money, will not be required to deposit the earnest money again to participate in the counselling of the special stray vacancy round.

6 Candidates who have not participated in the counselling of previous rounds and are participating in the counselling of the Special Stray-Vacancy Round for the first time will be required to deposit the security amount as per the rules.

7 Candidates admitted to the BDS course through counselling of first, second, third and stray vacancy rounds of UP NEET UG-2025 will be eligible for choice filling of the MBBS course in the special stray vacancy round. Such candidates will ensure to deposit the security amount payable for the MBBS course in the government/private sector through online mode as per the rules.

8 Candidates must deposit the security deposit through the online process as per the table below. Candidates who do not deposit the security deposit will not be eligible for choice filling-

9 Candidates who wish to participate in counselling for both Government and Private (Medical and Dental) seats will have to deposit a security amount of Rs. 2,00,000/-.

10 Candidates eligible for NEET UG-2025 will have to select a Nodal Centre for online verification of documents at the official website of UPDGME at the time of registration.
