UP NEET Admissions: Cuttoff Score To Be Announced Soon
Uttar Pradesh: The NEET UG cutoff score will be released soon by the Directorate General of Medical Education (UP DGME). The NEET UG cutoff is the final rank and equivalent scores at which college admission is permitted.
The NEET UG cutoff is determined by the number of candidates who applied, the level of difficulty, available seats, and the NEET UG exam result. Before filling out the application process, the candidates should check the cutoff score to determine their application eligibility.
NEET UG is a national-level medical entrance test conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) every year in India. It is mandatory to qualify for NEET UG if a candidate wants admission to an MBBS and BDS course in a medical college.
Recently Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced that the 1st round of counselling will take place from 11th October to 20th October for both AIQ and deemed and central institutes, while the state counselling 1st round will take place from the 17th October 2022- 28th October 2022. The last date for joining AIQ and Deemed central institutes for this round will be 28th October 2022 and 4th October 2022 for state counselling.
Eligibility criteria for admission –
1. Candidates should be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2022.
2. Candidates should be bonafide residents of the state.
3. Candidates have to be NEET UG qualified.
4. Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology. English are a compulsory subject.
The medical education department plays a pivotal role in developing medical and parparamedicalrsonnel to cater to the state's health needs. The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions, which are the premier referral centres from peripheral hospitals. Research is another area of activity for the medical education department. The directorate facilitates comprehensive medical education via various medical, dental and parparamedicallleges in Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, it also provides standard medical facilities to the patients.
The department of medical education was bifurcated in the year 1981 from the department of medical health services. The separate directorate of Medical Education was established in 1994. It has been functioning as a separate directorate for the last 16 years. It controlled Medical Colleges and attached teaching hospitals.
