WBMCC Announces Tentative Schedule For NEET Special stray vacancy round Counselling, Details
West Bengal: The West Bengal Main Computerized Counselling (WBMCC) has issued a notice including the schedule for the Special Stray Vacancy Round of WB NEET UG Medical Dental 2024 counselling.
In pursuance to the notice published by MCC, New Delhi dated 19.11.2024, the candidates who are non allotted till the extended Stray Vacancy Round are eligible to participate in this round of counselling with fresh registration and payment of counseling fee once again, said the WBMCC
The candidates doing fresh registration in Special Stray Vacancy Round are also eligible to participate in this round of counseling. After careful consideration, the full body of the counseling committee has come to the decision that due to time constraint in the admission process of extended Stray Vacancy Round which was conducted on 05.11.2024, the candidates could not report to the allotted institutes are also allowed to participate in this round of counseling with fresh registration and payment of counseling fee once again, the notice mentioned
All the candidates will have to do Fresh Choice Filling for Special Stray Vacancy Round. Any choice/s submitted earlier will be treated as 'Null & Void'.
The candidates who do not join the seats in Special Stray Vacancy Round will not be eligible to take NEET UG exam for next year i.e 2025, the WBMCC stated.
The tentative schedule shall be as follows:

4 | Publication of List of Successfully Verified candidates and Publication of Seat Matrix for Special Stray Vacancy Round | 28.11.2024 after 2 pm |
5 | Online Choice Filling and Choice Locking by the Verified Candidates in List | 28.11.2024 after 4 pm till midnight of 29.11.2024 (as per server time) |
6 | Publication of allotment result Special Stray Vacancy Round | 03.12.2024 after 4 pm |
7 | The Reporting and Admission of Allotted candidates to the allotted Institute with requisite original documents, college requite fee, bond after physical document verification (Once Successfully re-verified they can get admitted in the allotted college) | 04.12.2024 & 05.12.2024 from 11 am to 4 pm (as per server time) |
UG Counselling 2024 candidates are informed as under:
All the NEET UG eligible candidates who are registered with MCC with payment of fees are hereby informed that some seats are still lying vacant due to Non Joining/ Non Reporting after the completion of Stray Vacancy Round of UG counselling 2024. The details of the vacant seats are available on MCC website.
In view of above, the competent authority has decided to conduct a Special Stray Vacancy Round for the vacant seats in an online mode so that the precious medical seats do not go waste.
The rule position for Special Stray Vacancy Round is as under:
> No Fresh Registration will take place in Special Stray Vacancy Round. All pre registered candidates who have completed Registration & Payment of fees earlier and are not holding any seat are eligible to participate. However, candidates will have to do Fresh Choice Filling for Special Stray Vacancy Round. Any choices submitted earlier will be treated as 'Null & Void'.
> All AIQ Registered candidates irrespective of their category are required to pay a Refundable Security Deposit of Rs. 50,000 for participation in Special Stray Vacancy Round for exercising choices for Govt. seats.
> Candidates registered for Deemed Universities will have to pay the Refundable Security Deposit of Rs. 3,00,000 to exercise choices for Deemed University.
> Refundable Security Deposit of candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in Special Stray Vacancy Round will be Forfeited and they will not be eligible to take NEET UG exam for next year i.e 2025.
