Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, addressed the event virtually, acknowledging the college's vast contributions. Further emphasizing the institution's importance, he laid the foundation stone for a 50-bedded Critical Care Block. This new establishment, backed by Central Government funds to the tune of 23.75 crores under the National Health Mission, promises to be a game-changer for critical care in the region. It will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring that patients receive timely and best-in-class emergency medical services.

He shared insights about India's strides in medical education, citing the impressive growth in the number of AIIMS institutes from 6 in 2014 to a current count of 22. Situated on a 1200 square yard plot, the three-story building will be complemented by a modern laboratory, operated by the Department of Anaesthesia, AMC & King George Hospital.
