After LG's Intervention, Pondicherry University Releases MBBS results
Puducherry: Bringing relief to the final year MBBS students, pursuing their medical education under Pondicherry University, the University has finally declared the results of the final year MBBS course on Monday. The final year MBBS exams which were conducted back in March/April, were pending till now, causing anxiety and stress among the candidates regarding their future.
The declaration of the result comes after the intervention of the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan in the matter.
"The University has clarified that the results were delayed due to the outbreak of Covid pandemic," mentioned a release from the office of the Lieutenant Governor.
This comes after the final year MBBS students approached Lieutenant Governor Dr. Soundararajan on Saturday (July 10) at Raj Nivas. The students had expressed their concerns regarding the delay in the publication of the results as they were worried that the delay might adversely affect their future plans.
"The students stated that the results of the final year MBBS exams taken in March-April 2021 are yet to be announced and they apprehended that their future prospects of appearing for PG NEET and internship may be jeopardised by the delay in announcement of results," stated the Press Release.
Acting on the requests of students, the Lt. Governor intervened in the matter, and following the intervention, Pondicherry University released the results of the final year and first-year MBBS examinations on Monday.
The release said the Lieutenant Governor, also the Chief Rector of the University, intervened and ensured publication of the results of the first year MBBS students too, reports PTI. It further adds that the final year MBBS exams were held in March/April.
