Calcutta Medical College cancels 3rd-semester MBBS exam as medicos fail to appear due to COVID
Kolkata: The scheduled examination for the 3rd semester of the MBBS ( junior doctors) at Calcutta Medical College and Hospital in the city was cancelled on Monday after the students did not appear at the hall as many of them have been affected by Covid-19, official sources said.
The examination hall in the hospital complex was equipped to handle if any student was caught with pandemic and the teachers arrived on time with question papers for the third semester examination.

Arrangements were also made to have a separate hall for those junior doctors, who were already diagnosed with Covid-19.
But not a single student appeared and the examination was declared cancelled after half-an-hour waiting.
Sources said as many 14 juniors have been reported sick due to catching pandemic till Sunday.
The students had been demanding either cancel the examination or conduct this on-line.
It was not known when the pending examination to be held for 3rd semester of the junior doctors at the Calcutta Medical College and Hospital, a premier health facility in the city.
