Conference on radiation applications in medicine Held At CMC Ludhiana
Ludhiana: The COVID pandemic has left its mark on our society and we have acclimatized ourselves to a virtual lifestyle as much as possible, with our academic events being conducted completely on virtual platforms. One such successful virtual conference was conducted by the Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).
The event was conducted on November 7th and 8th on the occasion of the International Day of Medical Physics and the International Day of Radiology.
The conference offered a platform to the delegates from different areas of the medical fraternity to exchange ideas and information to further the development of patient care in the field of radiation oncology and radiodiagnosis. The scientific programme was designed to highlight team work and the role played by medical physicist, technologists, radiologists and radiation oncologist in quality health care. It was in line with the 127-year rich legacy of healing, medical education and research of the CMCH, Ludhiana.
The conference was attended by more than 350 delegates. It included 18 invited talks from eminent national and international faculty and an equal number of research papers, reports Tribune.
The Pearl Jubilee Best Poster Award was won by Oguntade Oluwarotimi Felix from the Federal University of Technology, Nigeria, while the Pearl Jubilee Best Paper Award went to Balbir Singh from AIIMS, Bathinda.
