Gwalior's medical college MBBS student falls to death from hostel building

Gwalior: In a tragic incident, a first-year medical student at Gajra Raja Medical College (GRMC), Gwalior, died under mysterious circumstances after allegedly falling from the first floor of a hostel.
His cousin, who is a nurse, questioned the circumstances of the incident, saying he was not the kind of person to take his own life and pointed out that there were no visible external injuries.
Adding to the mystery, police found the student's mobile phone on the terrace, while the room he was staying in had not been officially allotted to him.
While the police confirmed that the student died from the fall, they said it is too early to conclude whether it was an accident, suicide, or murder. They are investigating all possible angles, including ragging.

As per the Free Press Journal news report, the incident took place on Monday night at around 9.45 pm when the student was in the open area on the first floor and fell on the ground. His roommate was inside the room at that time and did not see him fall.
The guards on duty heard a loud noise and rushed to the spot, where they found him lying injured in the porch area. He was immediately taken to the Trauma Centre at J.A. Hospital (JAH), where doctors said he had suffered internal injuries. Despite efforts to save him, he was declared dead later. His body has been kept in the JAH mortuary.
Police have informed his family about the incident. His cousin, a nurse from Morena, who came to Gwalior, raised questions. She said her brother would never take his own life and argued that if he had fallen from a height, there should have been visible external bleeding.
The student had joined the college about a month ago and arrived in Gwalior nearly 20 days after Diwali. He was staying at Ravi Shankar Hostel, where the incident occurred.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
