Hyderabad: BAMS student commits suicide, probe on
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling with a rope at his rented house in Madhurnagar.
The student was pursuing Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Erragadda B.R.K.R Government Ayurvedic College in Ameerper. He shared a room in Jawahar Nagar with one of his friend and fellow medical student.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday when the student had an argument with someone over the phone following which he decided to take his life. He notified his friend Ajay of his intention to end his life via WhatsApp before attempting to commit suicide.

After getting the message, Ajay tried to contact the student but failed. He then immediately alerted their mutual friend and other two who rushed to the house at at Jawaharnagar and took the student to ESI Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Later, they contacted the police and an investigation was conducted upon their arrival.
According to the police, the student had some issues with his male friend and a female classmate who came to his house on Wednesday night. Moments before the suicide, a heated argument happened between the trio, reports Newsmeter
An investigation is underway to determine if the student took his own life in response to the altercation. Although the reason behind the argument is unknown, the police suspect that the student might have ended his life after being distressed over the argument.
As per a media report in Telangana Today, the student's dead body was shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem and later shifted to mortuary. Following this, the police have registered a case under Section 174 (Suicide).
