JIPMER Announces National Workshop on Good Clinical Practice 2024, Details
Puducherry- Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has recently released a brochure, regarding the National Workshop on Good Clinical Practice (GCP) for the 2024 session for the Department of Clinical Pharmacology.
According to the brochure, the workshop is scheduled for March 1, 2024, and has been organised by the Department of Clinical Pharmacology in collaboration with the Research Division, JIPMER Puducherry. The workshop has been organised for Members of ethics and scientific committees, Faculty, Undergraduates, Post-graduates, PhD scholars, clinical trial co-ordinators and trial staffs.
Below are the topics that will be covered in the workshop-
- Good clinical practice-an overview.
- New Drugs and Clinical Trials (NDCT) 2019.
- Roles and responsibilities of the ethics committee in clinical trials.
- Roles and responsibilities of investigator and study team in clinical trials.
- Informed consent process.
- Roles and responsibilities of sponsor in clinical trials.
- Essential documents, record keeping and archival.
- Audits, inspection and monitoring in clinical trials.
- Group exercises.
The 2024 session of the National Workshop on Good Clinical Practice (GCP) will be led by Dr DM Thappa, the organising chairman and Dean (Research) at JIPMER. Meanwhile, Dr S Sandhiya, Additional Professor & Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at JIPMER, will serve as the organising secretary.
