MP Dy CM Shukla instructs to fill up vacant post at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College
Jabalpur: Making sure the institute runs smoothly, Deputy Chief Minister and Public Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Rajendra Shukla on Thursday instructed to fill vacant posts at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College.
During a General Council meeting chaired by the Dy CM, he gave a handful of instructions to the officials who were present at the meeting intending to enhance medical and health facilities at the medical college.
The instructions were given after a detailed discussion about healthcare facilities and arrangements, budget, status of all the categories, vacancies and available manpower, AMC and CMC of equipment, cleanliness and security and future work of the institution.
The meeting was attended by MLA, Ajay Vishnoi, MLA Abhilash Pandey, Neeraj Singh, Chairperson, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation, Vinod Gontia, Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh, Divisional Commissioner, Abhay Verma, Joint Director, Public Health and Family Welfare, Dr Sanjay Mishra and other medical officers.
Shukla instructed the officials to take necessary actions to fill the posts that are lying vacant and enhance the overall healthcare services at the medical college.
Ensuring that patients can avail of healthcare benefits immediately during emergencies, he asked to establish a Sanjeevani Clinic and the utilization of encroached land in front of the Medical College for medical purposes. Additionally, he asked for the provision of manpower in the remaining wards of JMC.
According to the Hitavada news report, He also mandated actions for CT Scans and MRI services for patients falling under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. Discussions revolved around the treatment of Ayushman cardholders, infrastructural challenges, and the integration of nursing colleges with Detailed Project Reports (DPR).
Meanwhile, the Dean of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Dr Geeta Guin presented an overview of the institution's achievements which include MBBS seats, Super Specialty, Kidney Transplant facility, a Gynaecology Department, a Separate Burn Unit, State Cancer Institute, Skill Lab, New Academic Block and UG Hostel under UG Course Upgradation, renovation of hospital, Bone Marrow Transplant and Research Centre, Forensic Medicine and other special facilities available at the college.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the establishment of new medical colleges in five districts of the state has been approved during the cabinet meeting led by Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla. The selected districts for the establishment of these medical colleges are Seoni, Sheopur, Neemuch, Mandsaur, and Singrauli.
