NIRF 2024: Here are Maharashtra Medical, Dental Colleges Ranked Among Top 50
Maharashtra- Three medical colleges and six dental colleges in Maharashtra have been ranked among the top 50 in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 rankings.
As per the NIRF 2024 ranking, Dr D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research, and Armed Forces Medical College have been ranked in the top 50.
In the top 50 medical institutes released by NIRF under the Ministry of Education, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth has secured 11th rank with 64.10 marks, Datta Meghe Higher Education and Research Institute has secured 23rd rank with 60.14 marks and Armed Forces Medical College has secured 30th rank with 57.68 marks.
Similarly, Government Dental College, Nagpur has secured the 15th position with 58.5 marks, Government Dental College, Mumbai has secured the 25th position with 53.54 marks, Nair Hospital Dental College has secured the 28th position with 52.92 marks, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Dental College & Hospital, Pune has secured 36th position with 51.06 marks, Dr D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth has secured 72.55th position with 72.25 marks and Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education & Research has secured 24th position with 53.64 marks.
The rankings of the top Dental Colleges and top medical colleges across India were recently disclosed in a press conference by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
For 2024, the NIRF ranking process continues to provide a comprehensive "overall" ranking alongside specific rankings in categories such as universities, research institutes, degree colleges, innovation and discipline-specific areas including engineering.
NIRF ranks institutions across the country on the following five broad categories of parameters identified in the NIRF and their weightage on a scale of 10-
