NMC extends deadline for submitting MBBS admissions 2025 details online

New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the deadline for online filling of information related to admissions made to the 1st year MBBS course for the academic year 2025-26.
As per the latest circular issued by the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), medical colleges across India can now submit the required admission details up to January 31, 2026 (midnight).
“It has been decided that the last date to fill up the online details of 1st year MBBS Course admitted students for the academic year 2025-26 is extended upto 31st January, 2026 (midnight)”, the official NMC notice read.
The extension was announced through a public notice, addressed to the Principals and Deans of all medical colleges and institutions in India. The decision comes after NMC received multiple representations and observed that several medical colleges had either not submitted or partially submitted the mandatory information within the earlier deadline.
“Various representations have been received in this regard. It has also been observed that some Medical Colleges/ Institutes have not yet filled or partially filled the required information to date through the online portal of the National Medical Commission”, the notice stated.
According to the notice, submission of admission data is mandatory under the “Criteria for Identification of Students Admitted in Excess of Admission Capacity of Medical College Regulations, 1997” and in compliance with various directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. It was mentioned that this extension should be treated as the last opportunity for institutions to furnish the required details.
Medical colleges have been instructed to submit the details through the official NMC online portal by logging in. Institutions are required to carefully navigate the portal and ensure that all details of admitted MBBS students are entered accurately and completely within the revised timeline.
Meanwhile, Medical colleges have been urged to comply with the revised deadline to avoid regulatory action and ensure transparency in the MBBS admission process for the academic year 2025-26.
