Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that in a recent robbery, the house of a 46-year-old senior doctor and professor at KEM Hospital in Parel became the treasure hunt plot for some unidentified thieves. The burglars broke into the unoccupied house and allegedly looted US dollars amounting to Rs 12 lakh in Indian currency, along with gold and silver ornaments. The robbery took place when the doctor and his family were away for work from their home which is situated within the hospital premises. This provided an opportunity for the thieves to steal valuable items.
