Vacate Hostel Rooms after completion of course: AIIMS Patna issues notice for UG, PG medicos

Patna: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Patna) has released rules related to vacating the hostel rooms by UG/PG students.

As per the notice, after completion of the course/tenure, students of the above courses will have to vacate the hostel/room. AIIMS UG Medical course is for 5½ years, i.e. 4½+ 1 year compulsory internship, and PG Medical is for 3 years.

The students will be given a maximum of 7 days grace period to vacant. After the grace period, a penalty of 2500/- per day will be charged for the next seven days. Subsequently, a penalty of Rs 21000 per day will be charged till they vacate the hostel/room.

At AIIMS, hostel facilities are provided to both UG and PG students. Most hostels have designated common rooms for watching television. In addition, the hostel has a playground, a floodlit volleyball, basketball court, tennis court, gymnasium and an excellent eight-line swimming pool is also available.

AIIMS accepts the NEET score as the primary admission criteria for students seeking admission in UG and PG programs. Studentmustto submits their NEET scores in the begging, and after submitting the scorecard, they must attend an open counselling session. Once the counselling process is over, the NEET score and counselling scores are used to determine who will be granted admission to the AIIMS.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna (AIIMS Patna) is a medical college and medical research public institute located in Phulwari Sharif, Patna, Bihar. It is one of the Institutes of National Importance in India and started operating on 25 September 2012. The institute operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Its foundation was laid by Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, on 3 January 2004, during his tenure as vice-president. As of 2018, it became fully functional.
