MUHS notifies on Conduct of Surprise Inspection Of PG Medical Institutes For Grant Of Continuation Of Affiliation For 2023-24, details
Maharashtra: Surprise inspection of affiliated PG Medical Institutes for grant of continuation/extension of affiliation for the academic year 2023-24 to be conducted on 15.2.2023 onwards. Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has announced this through written notice.
The University has initiated the continuation of affiliation/extension of affiliation (if applicable) of affiliated PG Medical Institutes for Academic Year 2023-24. Accordingly, the University has finalized Local Inquiry Committee (LIC) (Part-I: Inspection Format & Part-II: PG Medical Institute Information) Proforma for inspections.
The following are the instructions issued –
1. The Institutes must go through LIC’s Inspection Proforma and fill up requisite information, including all annexures, for verification by LIC Team. As instructed earlier during inspections for 2022-23, the Institutes have created the “MUHS Mandate” tab on the homepage of the Institute website.
2. The Institutes must upload information on all annexure’s on the Institute's website, and the information should be kept year-wise & annexure-wise for 5 years.
3. The University has taken up a paperless initiative and gearing up for online transmission of question papers and onscreen evaluation of answer books.
4. The Institute must submit hard copies of a few annexures, viz. annexures I, II, III, IV, V, VI & VII, to the University. Copies of the rest of the annexures must be uploaded on the respective Institute's Website.
5. It is mandatory for the Institute to maintain infrastructure, teaching staff, and other requirements as per MSR throughout the year, failing which affiliation granted shall be revoked by the University at any stage.
6. The Dean/Principal of the Institute is required to update the Institute website and keep the information ready for verification by the LIC Team.
7. The Institutes that fail to update their information on College/Institute website will not be granted affiliation.
Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) is a higher education institution in Nashik, Maharashtra. The University was established on June 3, 1998, by the Government of Maharashtra through an ordinance. The State Legislature passed the ordinance, and the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences was declared open by the governor of Maharashtra on June 10, 1998. All colleges and institutions imparting education in health science in the state of Maharashtra have been affiliated with this new University under Section 6(3) of the Act.
