MUHS releases rules of conduct of theory re-examination due to Covid pandemic
Maharashtra: Through a recent notice, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has issued the rules of conduct of the University theory re-examination on the ground of Covid-19 Pandemic.
These rules extend to all the examinees of University examinations of theory conducted between 10/06/2021 to 30/06/2021 of all Health Sciences Faculties under the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
Rules:
The students/ examinees of University theory examination, who were detected COVID positive on or before the scheduled date of his theory examination (whose quarantine period has not been completed on the date of his scheduled theory examination) and who were unable to be present in person for theory examination on the scheduled date due to pandemic situation shall be eligible to apply for University theory re-examination.
Such students/ examinees may apply to the Controller of Examinations of the University to avail the onetime facility of theory re-examination on the ground of COVID-19 disease/ pandamic within such period and mode as may be decided and specified by the University.
Such application must be submitted through proper channel i.e. forwarded under the seal and signature of Dean/ Director / Principal of the concern affiliated College / recognized Institute. Incomplete applications and applications received after prescribed period may be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
After receipt of such application within the prescribed period, the result of such student shall be kept withheld and after due verification of his application and documents attached to the application, the theory re-examination will be scheduled on the date(s) convenient to the University within the further period of 45 days. The withheld result of such examinee will be declared within maximum period of 30 days from the date of completion of re-scheduled theory examinations of University. Such re-scheduled theory examination will not be treated as separate attempt in case of such examinees.
If any examinee is unable to be present on the re-scheduled date of theory examination for whatsoever reason, his result will be declared as 'Absent / Fail' and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard. No further re-examination of such students shall be organized. However, such students (if eligible in all respect) may opt to fill-up examination form for Summer 2021 (University Next Examinations), as and when declared by the University.
The cut-off date for submission of application for such re-examination, time table of re-examination and other details will be published separately by the University on its official website www.muhs.ac.in within due course of time.
All the rules applicable for the conduct of Winter-2020 examination shall be applicable mutatis mutandis to the re-scheduled theory examination.
These rules are promulgated due to very special and peculiar unavoidable circumstances of outbreak of COVID-19 disease in the State and therefore cannot be treated as precedent in future under any circumstances.
If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions in this rules, the decision of the Vice-Chancellor shall be final and binding.
The University shall have power to make, amend or repeal any provision in this rules.
Any word denoting gender shall include all genders.
These rules are promulgated after due approval of the appropriate authorities.
