MUHS Releases Schedule for MBBS, BDS, Nursing Academic Term 2021-22
Mumbai: Through a recent notice, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has released the schedule of the academic term for the year 2021-22 with respect to MBBS, BDS and nursing courses.
As per the notice, During the academic year 2021-22, students of all Health Science Colleges/Institutes affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik shall have the following commencement date of Academic Terms / Session and Cut off dates.

It is informed to all the candidates to read the given guidelines carefully:
1. Total working available days including examination period are 270 days.
2. As per Ordinance No. 01/2014, attendance should not be less than 75% of the lectures delivered in each subject of the course of instruction and 80% in practical work for the examination during the total academic period. Attendance in both cases shall be calculated till such date before the commencement of the written examination or upto the end of the academic term, whichever is later.
3. During the course of study, actual attendance of the students in theory and practical shall be considered as valid attendance. Participation in any gathering or cultural activities or Sick leave or any other leave will not be taken into consideration for calculation of Attendance. Hall ticket shall be issued only after fulfilling the criteria of attendance. It shall be the duty of the Dean / Principal to ensure the correctness of the attendance.
4. MUHS will hold two examinations in Academic year 2021-2022 i.e. in June /July and December/ January which will be published on website by the University. The period of Theory and Practical Examinations will be part of the Academic Term / Session.
5. There shall be no preparatory leave admissible to any student of any course.
6. The Dean / Principal of the College shall notify tentative schedule of conduct of Internal Assessment Examinations at college level at least 03 months in advance.
7. Above academic term/session and vacation shall be applicable uniformly to all affiliated Colleges/Institutions of the University. The Programme of Summer vacations of Students' and Teachers' will be notified separately.
8. Cut off dates for admission to B.Sc. Optometry, Diploma in Optometry and B.Sc. in Paramedical Technology courses will be 31/10/2021.
9. Academic Term/Session of courses conducted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, like MPH(N), MBA (Health Care Administration ) etc. will be notified separately as their admission process is yet to be started.
10. The Programme of Examinations will be notified separately course-wise and faculty-wise.
