MUHS To Conduct Summer Internship Program, Details
Maharashtra: Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has issued details related to Summer Internship Program (SIP).
The program is designed in such a way that undergraduate students from all faculties of health sciences such as Allopathy, Dental, Ayurved, Homeopathy, Unani, Nursing etc. (up to 3rd year ongoing) will be allowed to join the esteemed organizations/institutes like the centers willing to participate in SIP for 1 month (2 weeks or 4 weeks during the summer vacations).
Further, MUHS will publish admission notifications inviting online applications for SIP Scheme in April 2023. In the first phase, aspirant MUHS undergraduate students up to 3rd year ongoing will be allowed to join through an online admission process to the esteemed organizations/institutes like the centers willing to participate in SIP for a maximum of 2 weeks or 4 weeks during this summer vacation. This year students from other than health sciences and partner institutes conducting SIP activity will be considered.
A stipend of INR 2500 per week, or as decided by the MUHS, will be awarded to the allotted candidate. Financial assistance of 10k once a year will be given as a token of affability to the partner institution for using SIP activity.
It is a sort of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. This activity will allow students to gain valuable applied experience, make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths, and allow partnering institutes to guide and evaluate talent. Candidates will also share their ideas with students of the centers willing to participate in SIP and faculty to permit cross-pollination.
To fill in the necessary details of the SIP center in the online software prepared by MUHS for the SIP admission process, the interested centers need to furnish the information in the prescribed format (copy attached) by return email to ieh@muhs.ac.in at the earliest. The detailed format is enclosed in the notice below.
