New Delhi- Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) has introduced QR code-based hall tickets for all university exams from April 2024. In this regard, RGUHS has issued a circular detailing the objective of introducing QR code-based hall tickets.
“In an ongoing effort to streamline our examination processes and enhance the security and verification procedures. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) is introducing QR Code-based hall tickets for all university examinations, effective from April 2024”, the circular stated.
According to RGUHS, this QR code-based hall ticket system can reduce the risk of impersonation activities and help ensure a more efficient and secure examination process.
Explaining the QR code-based hall tickets, the circular said that each hall ticket will be equipped with a unique QR code containing the credentials of the candidates, as available in the university database.
Additionally, the OTP-based link in the QR code is available only to the invigilator/squad appointed for the theory examination centres.
The circular has been issued by Dr Riyaz Basha S, Registrar (Evaluation) of RGUHS and has been sent to the Chief Superintendents/Principals of all colleges affiliated to RGUHS, PA to VC/Registrar/Finance Officer, all Section Heads of RGUHS and RGUHS Office.
“Hall Ticket Generation System with Integrated QR Code” is a robust and innovative project developed using Java and MySQL to streamline and enhance the process of generating and managing hall tickets for various exams and events. Administrators can easily create, manage and customise hall tickets for various exams through a centralised web-based interface. Every participant gets a hall ticket with a unique QR code containing the necessary information of the examination. The system aims to eliminate traditional manual methods of hall ticket distribution by incorporating a dynamic QR code feature while ensuring security, efficiency and convenience for both administrators and participants.
