RGUHS invites MBBS affiliation applications for 2027-28, check details

The notification covers continuation of affiliation for existing MBBS seats, as well as applications to establish new medical colleges and increase MBBS intake.

According to the university, all existing affiliated institutions, organisations and trusts running MBBS programmes are required to apply for continuation of affiliation. Eligible institutions seeking to establish a fresh medical college or increase the number of MBBS seats can also submit applications for the upcoming academic year.

RGUHS has stated that the online affiliation application process will be available till October 13, 2026

For continuation of affiliation and increase in intake, applications have to be submitted exclusively through the existing RGUHS College Admission/Affiliation portal. Institutions proposing to establish a new medical college can download the prescribed application from the official RGUHS website.

After completing the digital submission, colleges are required to download the completed application and submit its hard copy, along with the prescribed annexures and fee payment receipt, to the Registrar, RGUHS.

Institutions can submit the application without a fine from till October 13, 2026. Applications submitted from October 14 to October 23, 2026 will attract a fine of Rs 1 lakh, as mentioned in the notification.

The university has also asked institutions to ensure compliance with the applicable Minimum Standard Requirements (MSR) prescribed under the prevailing National Medical Commission norms and RGUHS guidelines.

The SAF, subject-wise Form B and Staff Declaration forms can be downloaded from the university website. Colleges will also have to pay the applicable affiliation fees according to the current RGUHS fee structure within the stipulated period.

RGUHS said that a step-by-step manual for completing the digital application is available on the affiliation portal's login page.

As per the fee details issued by the university, the application fee for UG affiliation is Rs 3,000. For fresh UG affiliation, the university has prescribed a fresh affiliation fee of Rs 25 lakh.

For continuation and increase in intake, the fee structure includes an annual fee of Rs 2 lakh, a continuation/renewal of affiliation fee of Rs 5 lakh per UG course, and administrative and service charges of Rs 3,000 per seat.

Among other charges, RGUHS has prescribed a re-inspection fee of Rs 1 lakh, a late fee of Rs 1 lakh for any affiliation fee, Rs 3 lakh for change of institution name, and Rs 5 lakh for change of address.
