RGUHS issues guidelines for conducting practicals, Viva during to Lok Sabha elections, details
Bengaluru: Through a recent notice, the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) has released the 'guidelines for Conducting practical/viva examinations during the Lok Sabha elections 2024'.
According to the notice, the RGUHS pointed out that it had scheduled the theory and practical exams this month and May and the same have been rescheduled in view of the Lok Sabha elections and reviewed timetables are being published. Now, on the practicals, the university issued a directive for institutes regarding the conduct.
In the notice, the university referred to the Letter of Chief Electoral Officer dated 21.04.2024 addressed to the Principal Secretary to Govt, of Karnataka, Dept, of Medical Education.
The university hereby said, "Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences had scheduled the theory and practical examinations in the month of April and May 2024. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha Elections are also scheduled on different dates across the country in the month of April and May 2024. To enable the students to participate in the Loksabha elections - 2024, which will be held in various phases nationwide, the theory examinations which were earlier scheduled during the dates of Lok Sabha elections, have been rescheduled and the revised time tables are being published."
"However, with regard to Practical Examinations, the principals of the individual institutions are hereby informed that when finalizing the dates for the practical examinations, they must make sure that practical exams are not scheduled on the day, or the day before or day after the Lok Sabha election dates and ensure that the students do not face any hardship in exercising their right to vote."
Any grievance/queries in this regard, please contact the Deputy Registrar/Assistant Registrar of the concerned Faculty at the Examination Section of the University, the notice added.
