WBUHS Invites Online Applications For Post Doctoral Fellowship, Post Doctoral Certificate Courses; Apply till September 25
West Bengal: The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) has invited online applications for PDF and PDCC courses.
Detailed schedule –
1. Last date of Application - 25.09.2023
2. Date of Publication of Provisional list of eligible Candidates for Admission Test - 03.10.23
3. Dates of Claim and Objections - 04.10.23 – 05.10.23
4. Date of publication of Final List of Eligible Candidates for Admission Test - 06.10.23
5. Admit Card to be downloaded (tentative) - 10.10.2023; 3.00 pm
6. Entrance Examination (tentative) - 12.10.2023
7. Time of Entrance Examination (tentative) - 12:00 noon – 1:20 pm
8. Declaration of Results (tentative) - 06.11.2023
The applications should be accompanied with a demand draft of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. Ten thousand only) drawn in favour of “The West Bengal University of Health Sciences”, payable at Kolkata. The filled-in proforma for the courses will have to be deposited at the office of the Controller of Examinations (CoE), WBUHS, within 4:00 pm on 25th Sept. 2023.
The proforma can also be sent by post to the University, but it must reach the office of Controller of Examinations within 26th September 2023, provided the draft is purchased on or before 25.09.2023. The candidates are instructed to keep a photocopy of the filled-on proforma duly signed by the person receiving it at the office of CoE, with them as proof of submission of the proforma. It will be required at the time of counselling.

2. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Nephropathology
3. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Interventional Radiology
4. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Neuroradiology
5. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Pain Management
6. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Neuroanaesthesiology
7. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Breast Surgery
8. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Neuro-rehabilitation
Eligibility criteria -
Citizens of India who have obtained the following qualifications shall be eligible to apply for the courses as detailed herein under –

Candidates would appear at the examination through his/her declaration. If it is found that the declaration is not true, s/he is debarred for admission at any stage before or even after admission.
Duration of the Courses and Seats Available -
A total of 20 seats are available for PDCC and PDF courses.
1. Post Doctoral Fellowship in Onco-Anaesthesia (Two Years): 2 seats
2. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Nephropathology (One Year): 4 seats
3. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Interventional Radiology (One Year): 2 seats
4. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Neuroradiology (One Year): 2 seats
5. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Pain Management (One Year): 2 seats
6. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Neuroanaesthesiology (One Year): 4 seats
7. Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Breast Surgery (One Year): 2 seats
8. Post Doctoral Certificate Course (PDCC) in Neuro-rehabilitation(One Year): 2 seats
Admit Card –
Admit Cards will be sent to the individual candidate through the mail address provided by them. The University will entertain no application for non-receipt of the admit. The admit card would contain information about the time and venue of the admission test along with detailed instructions about the conduct of the examination.
Admission test -
The WBUHS will conduct Separate Admission tests for each course to prepare merit lists of the candidates seeking admission to the above courses as per the schedule of events notified in the information booklet.
Applicants will be provisionally allowed to appear in the Admission test provided he/she had submitted his/her application in the prescribed proforma for the respective course and paid the application fee of Rs.10000 for the PDF and PDCC courses based on the information provided by them. As the testimonials will not be verified before the examination, mere appearing in the examination does not guarantee their admission to in the courses. Any discrepancy detected even after the examination may cancel the submission of the application.
The question papers of the Admission tests will be set in English and shall contain 100 single best-response type Multiple Choice Questions relevant to the concerned course. The standard of the MCQs will be that of the qualifying examination(s).
For each correct response, one (1) mark will be awarded. There will be no negative marks awarded for wrong answers and for questions not attempted. However, multiple answers to a single question will be regarded as wrong answers. The duration of each Admission test will be of 80 minutes.
Counselling and Admission -
The provisional merit list for the individual courses will be available its website (https://www.wbuhs.ac.in). No separate information will be sent to individual candidates in this regard.
Admission will be made through a process of counselling strictly according to the time schedule to be published by the WBUHS. The notice of the time, date and venue of counselling will be available only on the website (https://www.wbuhs.ac.in), and no separate information about it will be sent to the individual candidates.
The candidate will have to bring the following original documents along with their attested copies at the counselling -
1. Admit card of the Admission Test
2. Receipt of the application form
3. All relevant Mark-sheet(s) as per eligibility criteria
4. Photo Identity card e.g. EPIC/ADHAR/Passport.
5. Any other relevant document.
Allowance of Candidates for study –
The question of allowance of the in-service candidates for the Trainee Reserve facility or those who are serving the bond period by the Govt. of West Bengal; rests entirely with the State Govt. All in-service candidates will have to produce a no-objection certificate from the employing authority at the time of counselling for the course if their name appears in the provisional merit list published by the University after the examination. The Candidates with PWD status may apply if their type and extent of disability is 40% – 70% in lower limbs only (as certified by the Dept. of PMR, IPGME&R).
