NBE announces centralised merit counselling schedule, seat matrix for FNB FPIS 2025 admissions, check details

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the schedule for offline centralised merit-based counselling for admission to FNB-FPIS courses for the 2025 admission session.

According to the notice issued by the NBE in this regard, the counselling process will begin on August 25, 2026, with registration, payment of fees, submission of documents and seat choices.

The Centralised Merit Based Counselling for admission to FNB - FPIS courses for 2025 Admission Session shall be conducted by NBEMS via offline mode as per the schedule mentioned below-

The following steps must be completed to participate in the offline counselling-

1 Payment of Registration fee and 1st-year course fee for the counselling through the designated payment portal only.

2 Submission of prescribed documents.

3 Submission of Choices.

The Candidates are required to pay the Counseling registration fee of ₹ 2500/- to register for the counselling and the 1st-year course fee of ₹ 125000/-. Payment gateway charges, if any, shall be borne by the candidate.

Registration fee for counseling and course fee shall not be refunded under any circumstances once the candidate has been registered for Counseling. The counselling registration fee and course fee shall be deposited through the link mentioned in the notice.

After payment of the above fees, the same shall not be refunded under any circumstances, even after ineligibility is detected at any stage during the counselling and after joining the course.

The notice further stated that the participating candidates are strictly advised to ensure that he/she fulfils all the eligibility criteria to join the FNB-FPIS course before applying and paying the counselling registration fee and course fee.

The candidates are required to submit the following self-certified scanned copies of documents-

1 MBBS/ Primary Medical Qualification Degree Certificate.

2 Degree Certificate of Post Graduate/ Post-Doctoral Medical Qualification equivalent to the eligible feeder issued on or before 31st December 2025.

3 Post Graduate Medical Qualification Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of the respective country.

4 No Objection Certificate issued by the Medical Council/ Government of the respective country for permission to work in India for the period of Fellowship.

5 Temporary Registration with the National Medical Commission, New Delhi, India for the duration of the FNB course is to be submitted after allotment.

6 Security Clearance obtained from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India (Applicable for all those who are required to have security clearance as per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) requirements).

7 Valid travel document (Passport) and valid permission (visa).

8 Declaration and Certification by the Candidate (cum Choice of Preferences) for opting for a seat - FET-FPIS - 2025 Admission session.

Receipts of payment of counselling registration of ₹ 2500/- and 1st year course fee of ₹ 125000/-, downloaded from NBEMS payment portals, are required to be submitted along with the prescribed documents.

Meanwhile, the verification of eligibility (document verification) shall be done by NBEMS from 28 to 29 August 2026.

The candidates are also required to submit the duly signed undertaking for an Indemnity Bond of ₹ 5,00,000/- before joining the Fellowship Programme.

The training guidelines as applicable to the FNB (Indian student) trainees shall be applicable to the above candidates.

Moreover, the seat allocation will be done in order of merit cum choices/ preferences of seats indicated by the candidate during the registration/ choice submission process and the provisional seat allotment result of the eligible candidates shall be published on the NBEMS website. Subsequently, NBEMS shall issue the provisional allotment letter for further formalities to join the allotted FNB course.

Along with this, the NBEMS has also released the Indicative Seat Matrix for counselling of the Fellowship Programme for International Students (FPIS) for the 2025 admission session.
