NBE gives deadline to DNB, DrNB trainees for submitting self appraisals, warns of cancellation of candidature for pursuing courses
New Delhi- The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) through a notice has warned of the cancellation of candidature of 2023 admission session trainees from pursuing NBEMS courses to those trainees who have failed to submit their self-appraisal to their training institutes for registration with NBEMS. The list of such candidates has been released.
Candidates who were seeking admission to the DNB Broad Specialty Course and DRNB Superspeciality courses of 2023 are required to complete a self-assessment seeking registration with NBEMS as an NBEMS Trainee to pursue NBEMS courses.
The last date for submission of self-appraisal by the candidates in their training institutes was 15 February 2024 which was later extended to 29 February 2024.
On this, it is observed that some of the trainees of the 2023 admission sessions who have joined NBEMS courses have failed to submit their self-appraisal to their training institutes despite the lapse of the prescribed extended timelines. All such trainees were also given the last opportunity to submit their self-appraisal in OPJR for registration with NBEMS by 29 February 2024. Along with this, such trainees were also informed that they will not be registered as NBEMS trainees if they failed to complete their self-appraisal during the stipulated period.
However, these candidates have been given another chance till 11 March 2024 at 11:55 pm. If the candidates still fail to submit their self-appraisal in their training institutes, their candidature for pursuing NBEMS courses will be treated as cancelled and they will be removed from the rolls of NBEMS trainees by the respective training institutes w.e.f. 12 March 2024.
Self-appraisal forms and verification of documents of the trainees in OPJR will be completed by the respective NBEMS-accredited institutions by the pre-notified deadline of 15 March 2024.
Self-appraisal for registration with NBEMS can be submitted only through the Online Portal for Joining and Registration (OPJR) on the NBEMS website.
