NBE warns candidates against fake notices on NEET PG conduct being circulated on social media, touts making bogus claims for phishing
New Delhi- Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has advised the candidates to be cautious against spoofed emails/SMS/social media content regarding the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 exam in the name of NBEMS.
These directions have been issued after it came to the notice of NBEMS that some unscrupulous agents/touts are making false and bogus claims to the candidates and are using spoofed emails, SMS or social media content in the name of NBEMS for phishing.
The NBE noticed that, some fake notices are being circulated on social media regarding the announcement of a revised schedule for the conduct of NEET-PG 2024. Therefore, NBEMS advised all the candidates not to be allured or misled by unscrupulous agents /touts making false and bogus claims of helping any candidate by any means by such spoofed emails/SMS or forged documents or social media.
NBEMS does not send any email or SMS to candidates regarding securing good marks in any of the exams conducted by NBEMS, the notice stated.
Therefore, it is advised to be aware of receiving any email/SMS/message on social media in the name of NBEMS and to verify the information received through SMS in the name of NBEMS with the respective email/NBEMS website updates.
In case candidates are approached by any unscrupulous agents/touts promising any such undue favour/ promising to provide question papers for NBEMS examinations through any spoofed emails/SMS or telephone call or forged documents or personally or through social media, the candidates should report to NBEMS through its Communication Web Portal or to the local police for further investigation.
Further, NBE through the notice advised the candidates to visit the official websites of NBEMS for any information regarding NBEMS and examinations conducted by NBEMS. Also, all the NBEMS notices released from July 2020 onwards have a QR code on them, so candidates can scan the QR code which will directly redirect them to the said notice on the NBEMS website. In addition, NBEMS has no official handle/ channel on any social media platform including ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter.
