NEET 2020: NTA extends correction facility for online application forms
New Delhi: After receiving several requests from the NEET 2020 candidates, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the correction Facility in Candidate Particulars and Centre Cities in Online Application Form for NEET 2020.
The largest entrance examination for UG medical courses, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the gateway for admissions to medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH courses in the country. The test will be conducted as per regulations of the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 and the Dentists Act-1948, and as amended from time to time. This year, the admission to MBBS course in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER and all AIIMS like institutions will also be made through NEET.
The NEET 2020 correction facility has now been extended till May 3rd 2020 after receiving several requests from the NEET 2020 candidates. The notice informing about the effect clearly states
"In continuation of PUBLIC NOTICES dated 01.04.2020 and 10.04.2020 issued by the National Testing Agency regarding correction facility in Candidate Particulars and Choice of Cities for centre opted by the candidates for NEET (UG)- 2020, the NTA has extended the date of making corrections in the Application Form including choice of cities for the centre in the Online Application Form upto 03/05/2020*, in view of many requests being received from aspirants and parents of candidates of NEET (UG)- 2020 in this regard. The correction facility is operational on the website ntaneet.nic.in
Correction in the particulars in the Online Application Forms shall be accepted upto 05.00 PM and submission of fee upto 11.50 PM of 03/05/2020.
The NTA will make efforts to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of choices now opted by them in their application form. However, due to administrative reasons, a different city may be allotted and the decision of the NTA regarding allotment of Centre shall be final.
The candidates are advised to visit the website and verify their particulars and make necessary corrections wherever required. The additional amount (if applicable) can be paid through Credit/Debit Card/ Net Banking/ PAYTM.
In case, additional fee payment is required depending on the changes made in the form, the final updates will be reflected after the payment.
The candidates are requested to undertake the correction(s) very carefully as no further chance of correction will be provided to the candidates.
The candidates and their parents are advised to keep visiting ntaneet.nic.in and www.nta.ac.in for latest updates. They are also being informed individually through their registered mobile number/ email-id. Earlier, bashing the fake notice which is being circulated regarding the change in the syllabus of NEET, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had issued a clarification. NTA stated that it come to its notice that a fake Public Notice has been circulating concerning the change in the syllabus of NEET. Therefore, clarifying over the same, all candidates preparing for NEET 2020 are hereby informed that there is NO change in syllabus of NEET. NTA does not decide the syllabus, it only provides a link to the syllabus. The link is provided in the Information Bulletin and reproduced again (www.mciindia.orq)
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2020 examination which was scheduled to be held on the 3rd May 2020, has been postponed.
