MBBS, BDS Admissions 2023 at Faculty of Medical Sciences Delhi: Check out registration process, seat matrix, eligibility criteria details
Delhi: Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMSC) has released the information bulletin for NEET UG (MBBS and BDS admission) for the academic year 2023-24.
As per the notice, the registration process will begin as per notification received by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The candidates need to keep track of the MCC website for the same.
The candidates are required to register themselves online on www.mcc.nic.in / Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Govt. of India) to participate in counselling of UG (MBBS/BDS) courses-2023-2024 for both 85% Delhi quota and 15% all India quota.
Admissions (After successful allotment of MBBS/BDS seats by MCC for 85% Delhi Quota and 15% All India Quota) -
Only those candidates who are allotted seats in Colleges affiliated to University of Delhi, after successful allotment of seats by the MCC, DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Government of India) are required to register themselves on the online admission portal on the official website www.fmsc.ac.in of Faculty of Medical Sciences through online link for admission to MBBS/BDS for 85% Delhi Quota and 15% All India Quota after verification of their documents by the respective colleges. They must complete the registration by uploading their documents, photograph, signatures and the online registration fee payment.
Online links will be provided later on the official Faculty of Medical Sciences website i.e. www.fmsc.ac.in, under Course updates UG.
Any candidate, who has not been allotted any seat in the University of Delhi under 85% Delhi Quota and 15% All India Quota or is otherwise ineligible to register for admission, somehow registered himself/herself on www.fmsc.ac.in, in such cases, their registration will be invalid, and no refund of fee will be done under any circumstances.
Admission Process after successful Allotment of seats by MCC/Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Government of India) -
1. All the candidates seeking admission to the Undergraduate (MBBS/BDS) Courses must register online on the website: www.fmsc.ac.in.
2. Go to the home page of the website of the Faculty of Medical Sciences i.e www.fmsc.ac.in —courses —undergraduate courses (MBBS/BDS) — click here for MBBS/BDS Admission— click on the online link under Course updates UG (MBBS/BDS).
3. Online registration details for admission to the Undergraduate (MBBS/BDS) courses are as under -
4. As a first-time user, the candidate shall create the login details
5. In the "Confirm your Information" webpage, the candidate shall provide the NEET-UG- 2023 Roll No. And Date of Birth. Clicking on the "View" button will display further details of the candidate.
6. the candidate can click "Confirm" and proceed further if the details are correct.
7. On the "New Registration" page, the candidate has to enter a valid Mobile No. And Email ID, which would be used for any future communication with the University for admission purposes.
8. Candidate shall then create a password (of a maximum of six characters) for online registration purposes. This password does not need to be the same as the candidate's email account password, which is used to access one's email account.
9. Candidate shall provide a valid mobile phone number (10-digit number without any prefix).
10. Please verify that all the details given in the form are correct. This information will be used during the entire admission process. No change/modification is allowed. Please be careful in filling up the required information in all aspects.
11. (Applicant shall now log on using "registered email-id" and create a "password" to fill the online registration form.
12. Applicant shall click the "Save" and proceed to check the details filled in the form.
13. The same login information is used every time to log in to the applicant's account.
The application shall upload the following (Wherever necessary) -
1. Passport size photograph of the applicant (120x130) (only jpg & size up to 150KB)
2. Scanned signature of the applicant (200x50) (only jpg & size up to 100KB)
3. Self—attested copy of NEET-UG- 2023 admit card (only PDF & size up to 200KB)
4. Self—attested copy of NEET-LJG-2023 Score Card(only PDF & Size up to 200KB)
5. Self-attested copy of Aadhar Card (only PDF & Size up to 200KB)
6. Self-attested copy of Matriculation Certificate for verification of date of birth (only PDF & Size up to 200KB)
7. Self-attested copy of 10th , 12th Marksheet (only PDF & size upto 200KB) Self-attested copy of 10+2 Certificate (only PDF & size upto 200KB)
8. Certificate from the Principal of the School on prescribed proforma available at faculty website: www.fmsc.ac.instating that (1) the school is situated within National Capital Territory of Delhi, (ii) the school is recognized by the CBSE/Council for the Indian School Certificate/ Jamia Milia IslamialPatracharVidyalyalNational Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), (iii) the school is conducting regular classes, (except NIOS/Patracharya Vidyalaya) (iv) the applicant has attended regular classes in the school for class (standard) 'V& 1211' (except NIOS/Patrachar Vidyalaya) (only PDF &Size200KB
9. The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from Patrachar Vidyalaya or National Institute of Open Schooling will be eligible for admission in MBBS/BDS courses under 85% Delhi Quota provided their study centre and the examination Center were within the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCTD) and they must submit a certificate from the controlling authority of Patrachar Vidvalaya/NIOS in this regard(only PDF & Size200KB)
10. Self-attested copy of Character Certificate in Performa as prescribed by CBSE, issued by the Principal of the school last attended or any Gazetted Officer (only PDF & size upto 200KB)
11. Self-attested copy of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe certificate as described in Section —B, clause 1A, if applicable (only PDF & Size upto 200KB)
12. Self-attested copy of Person with Disability (PwBd) certificate, if applicable (only PDF & size upto 200KB)
13. Entitlement Certificate for C.W. category as described in Section —B Clause E, if applicable (only PDF & size upto 200KB)
14. Self-attested copy of OBC Certificate as described in Section—B clause B, if applicable (only PDF & size upto 200KB)
15. Self-attested copy of the Non-Creamy layer certificate shall be for the financial year 2023-2024, issued on or after 1.04.2023 and OBC caste certificate as per the Central list for OBC's (only PDF & size upto 200KB)
16. Self-attested copy of the EWS certificate as described in section B Clause D(only PDF & size upto 200KB)
17. Self-attested copy of Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card, if applicable (only PDF & size upto 200KB)
18. Allotment Letter issued by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
Once all the above-mentioned files are uploaded, the applicant can proceed with "Make Payment". Applicants can also update the uploaded files and application form using the Back button before making payment. Once the payment is made, no changes can be made in the application form.
The candidate's application submission process shall be completed only after payment of the online registration fee. In case a candidate wishes to apply in more than one course, then the candidate is required to submit the total fee as prescribed for each course applied separately.
The candidature is subject to the candidate's fulfilling the minimum eligibility requirements prescribed for applying to the concerned programme of study. In case a candidate does not meet the minimum eligibility criteria prescribed for applying to the concerned programme, it is done at the candidate's own risk and cost and if at any stage, it is found that the minimum eligibility requirements are not fulfilled, the admission if granted, shall be cancelled. And the fee paid shall not be refunded in any case.
Registration fee –
1. SC/ST and Person with Disabilities (PwBD) - Rs. 1000/-
2. For all other categories (Unreserved, OBC/EWS etc.) - Rs. 1500/-
The candidates note that the counselling for 85% Delhi Quota and 15% All India Quota shall be done by MCC, DGHS Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India through online mode. The candidates are required to fulfil all the admission criteria, eligibility, merit and such criteria as may be prescribed for Registration for counselling as specified by MCC, DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India at www.mcc.nic.in. Also, all the Rules & Regulations of MCC shall be followed in letter and spirit for admission to UG courses.
Seat details –
A total of 710 seats are available for MBBS and BDS admission. MBBS has 660 seats, and BDS has 50 seats available.
Seats may be added/deleted depending upon the approval status from the University/National Medical Commission/Dental Council of India/Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW) Government of India. However, in case of any increase in intake capacity in MBBS/BDS course (s), the same will be displayed before the start of the counselling session(s).
Duration of Courses -
1. MBBS Course - The normal duration of the course is 4/2 years, followed by one year of compulsory rotating Internship Training.
2. BDS Course - The duration of the course is 4 years, followed by one year of compulsory rotating Internship Training.
Eligibility criteria –
1. The candidates should have completed the age of 17 (seventeen) years on or before 31" December 2023. The candidates completing the age of 17 years on 1st January 2023 or later on will not be eligible for admission,i.e., the candidate must be born on or before 31.12.2006.
2. The educational qualification for admission is as per NEET conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Further to become eligible for 85% Delhi Quota, the candidate must have passed the 11th and 12th standard examinations under the 10 + 2 system conducted by CBSE/Indian school certificate examination/Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi or any other equivalent examination from a recognized school situated within the NCT of Delhi only. (see Appendix I).
3. The Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from Patrachar Vidyalaya or the National Institute of Open Schooling will be eligible for admission in MBBS/BDS courses under 85% Delhi Quota provided their study centre and the examination Center within the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCTD). They must upload a certificate from the controlling authority of Patrachar Vidyalaya/INIOS in this regard.
4. However, the candidature of candidates who have passed the qualifying examination i.e. I 0,2 from NIOS or state of open school or as private candidates from recognized state boards, or with Biology/Biotechnology as an additional subject shall be allowed subject to the outcome of the special leave petitions/Appeals filed by National Medical Commission(NMC).
Nominee of Govt. of India (NGOI / Central Pool Scheme) -
Twenty-One Seats (6-MAMC + 15-LHMC) in MBBS Course will be filled up on the basis of recommendations of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi. These recommendations are made by the Ministry for the names sponsored by various authorities as given below. The eligible candidates should not apply for such seats to the Institutions/Colleges/Universities or to the Ministry of Health &1Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Such applicants for Central Pool Scheme should apply to the following authorities only after obtaining the minimum marks in NEET-UG-2023.
The procedure for selection to MBBS/BDS Courses shall be as follows -
The University of Delhi will not conduct a separate entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS courses under 85% Delhi Quota. Candidates are required to appear in NEET-UG 2023, conducted by NTA.
Display of merit list -
The counselling for admission to UG (MBBS/BDS) courses 2023 for 85% Delhi Quota and 15% All India Quota will be undertaken by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. All applicants may regularly visit the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Govt. of India) website: www.mcc.nic.infor regular updates.
Counselling procedure -
1. The counselling will be done by Medical Counseling Committee, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India and the candidates are advised to visit the website of MCC (www.mcc.nic.in) for all updates and procedure relating to counselling.
2. The leftover seats/stray vacancy seats, if provided by MCC, will be filled up through Stray Vacancy Round as and when notified.
3. An undertaking is to be given by the candidate to the effect that they are not pursuing MBBS/BDS Courses anywhere in India. In case admitted/pursuing MBBS/BDS Courses anywhere in India, they will be required to produce a cancellation certificate from the concerned College/ Institution at the time of reporting/joining.
4. Regarding resignation /withdrawal of seats by the candidates, the rules guidelines of MCC shall prevail in letter and spirit.
Procedure for admission, assignment of College/Institution -
1. The candidate will be required to produce admission tickets for NEET-UG - 2023 and all original certificates, including the score card of NEET-UG-2023, at the time of admission to the MBBS/BDS Course.
2. The admission would be made strictly on merit based on the percentile of the eligible candidates in each category, determined by rank/ marks obtained in the NEET-UG-2023.
3. As soon as a candidate is allotted his/her selected seat, they are required to register online at www.fmsc.ac.in after verification of their documents from the respective college.
Joining -
1. The candidates, who have been admitted to a course, shall be required to join the assigned institution by the stipulated date.
2. The candidates must report to the college concerned by the date mentioned in their admission letter for completing the admission formalities at the allotted college, failing which his/ her admission is liable to be cancelled.
3. As soon as a candidate is allotted his/her selected seat, he/she will be provisionally admitted to that course. College fee will be paid at college.
