NEET, NEET PG Counselling: MCC develops software for all States DME
New Delhi : Through a recent notice, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed regarding the development of a software for all states and counselling bodies including Directorate of Medical Education, wherein they can upload the names, roll numbers of NEET and NEET PG students who have joined up to round 2 and further rounds of the state quota or round 2 of the AIQ on the common portal.
This will ensure that all such candidates will not be eligible to participate in the further rounds for All India Quota or for State Quota from next academic year onwards.
In its notice, the MCC mentioned that the decision is in compliance of the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.
"In compliance of the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India vide Order dated 31/03/2022 in W.P. (C) No. 174 of 2022, Medical Counselling Committee of DGHS, MoHFW has developed a software for all the participating states/counselling authorities for NEET-UG/PG to upload the names and roll numbers of students who have joined up to round 2 and further rounds of the state quota or round 2 of the AIQ on the common portal," the MCC stated.
"These joined candidates up to round 2 of AIQ or State Quota shall not be eligible to participate in the further rounds for All India Quota or for State Quota from the academic year 2022-23 onwards," the notice added.

Earlier, the MCC had informed Soon the candidates who are desirous to get a PwD seat through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) counselling process will be able to get the disability certificate issued from the designated centres through the online mode only. For the same, the MCC in association with NIC is in the process of making software and the facility will be provided soon.
