NEET PG: 2,066 MS ENT seats as per NMC seat matrix 2026-27, Karnataka leads with 309

New Delhi: MS Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) has 2,066 seats and Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (DLO) has 11 seats across medical colleges in India for the academic year 2026-27, according to the latest postgraduate medical seat matrix released by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
According to the seat matrix, the highest number of MS ENT seats is in Karnataka at 309, and the highest number of DLO seats is in West Bengal at 5.
Medical Dialogues earlier reported that the NMC released a seat matrix on September 29 showing a total of 63,177 MD, MS, Diploma, DM and MCh medical seats for the academic year 2026-27. However, the NMC clarified that the latest seat matrix does not include seats related to applications received for an increase in the intake of existing PG courses or for the commencement of new PG courses for the academic year 2026-27.
M.S. Otorhinolaryngology/ENT
As per the list, Maharashtra has 212 MS ENT seats, Uttar Pradesh has 185 seats, Tamil Nadu has 226 seats, Andhra Pradesh has 147 seats, Telangana has 146 seats, Gujarat has 118 seats, Rajasthan has 106 seats, and Madhya Pradesh has 98 seats; West Bengal has 77 seats, and Kerala has 74 seats.
Further, Bihar has 47 MS ENT seats, Delhi has 40 seats, Puducherry has 38 seats, Haryana and Odisha have 33 seats each, Punjab has 30, Jammu and Kashmir has 28 seats, Assam has 27 seats, Chhattisgarh has 26 seats, and Uttarakhand has 19 seats.
The NMC matrix also showed that Himachal Pradesh has 14 seats, Jharkhand has nine seats, Manipur has eight seats, Tripura has five seats, Goa has four seats, and Chandigarh has three seats. Meghalaya and Sikkim have two seats each.
However, the seat matrix lists no MS ENT seats in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, or Mizoram.
Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology Seats
As per the list, 11 seats are available in the Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (DLO) course across six states and Union Territories. West Bengal has the highest number, with five seats, followed by Uttar Pradesh with two seats. Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu have one seat each.
