NEET PG Counselling: MCC issues clarification on seat allotment for Special Round Non-Joined Candidates
New Delhi : Through a recent notice, Medical Counselling Committee, MCC under DGHS has issued a clarification on seat allotment for Special Round Non-Joined Candidates.
According to the notification, the MCC has clarified that since there is no free exit, if any NEET PG joined candidate of Round 2 who has been allotted a seat in Special Round and does not join the allotted seat, then such candidates will be deemed to be holding the seat allotted and joined by them in Round 2.
"In light of the Court proceeding in M.A. No. 606 of 2022 in W.P. (C) No. 223 of 2022 before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and in continuation of the notice no. U-12021/06/2021-MEC dated 02/04/2022 it is clarified that, if any joined candidate of Round 2 who has been allotted a seat in Special Round and does not join the allotted seat, then such candidates will be deemed to be holding the seat allotted and joined by them in Round 2 as there is no Free Exit in such circumstances," stated the MCC notice.
