NEET SS 2020 Counselling: MCC informs about Round 1 surrender of seats
New Delhi: Through a recent notice, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) which is conducting the counseling for NEET SS 2020 has informed about the surrender of seats of Round 1
"All candidates and colleges/ institutes are hereby informed that the candidates who had given their Willingness for upgradation as "YES" during Round-1 but could not get upgraded can surrender their Round-1 seats till 05:00 PM of 29th December 2020 with Forfeiture of Security Deposit as per existing rules of MCC. Please note that only the above mentioned candidates will be allowed to surrender their seat in online mode," the notice stated
" Candidates who had given willingness for upgradation in Round-1 as "NO" cannot surrender their seat," the notice added
NEET-SS 2020 was conducted on 15th September 2020. NEET-SS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various DM/MCh courses as per the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 2016. No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to DM/MCh courses as per the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 2016 w.e.f. 2017 admission session. Qualifying NEET-SS is mandatory for entry to DM/MCh courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country.

Note: For ensuring faithful obedience of time schedule and also keeping in view the limited time available for conducting of counselling, All Participating Institutes/Colleges are directed to treat all Saturday, Sunday & Holidays as working days.
