NEET SS 2024 Candidates Rate Question Paper Moderate to Difficult, Here's the Analysis

NEET SS 2024
New Delhi: After lots of controversy regarding the conduction of the exam, the National Eligibility-Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2024 was finally held on 29th and 30th March 2025. While those who appeared in the test on Day 1 said that the difficulty level of the paper ranged from moderate to high, the NEET SS aspirants who took the test on Day 2 said that the paper was tough.
NEET-SS is an eligibility-and-ranking test for admission to various DM, MCh, and DrNB super speciality courses. Even though the previous academic calendar required the NEET SS 2024 exam to be conducted in 2024, it was delayed by an entire year.
While a section of the medical fraternity had earlier criticized the authorities for their failure to conduct the NEET SS exam in 2024, the decision to delay the exam was justified by the authorities, citing that most of the doctors would remain ineligible for the exam since the 2021 batch commenced their courses only in 2022.

Meanwhile, the list of subjects that were tested on Day 2 of the exam dated March 30 included Medical Group, Radiodiagnosis Group, Microbiology Group, Pathology Group, Psychiatry Group, Surgical Group, Paediatric Group, Anaesthesiology Group, and Pharmacology Group.
As per the latest media report by Shiksha, the students, who appeared in the NEET SS 2024 exam, gave mixed reactions regarding the difficulty level of the NEET SS 2024 question paper. While those who appeared on Day 1 said that the difficulty level was moderate to tough, the aspirants who appeared on Day 2 said that the question paper was tough.
The Daily reported that while some groups such as Obstetrics and Gynaecology questions were seemingly easier than last year, some other groups such as Medical Oncology and Critical Care Medicine were tougher than last year.
Analysis of Day 1 papers:
The NEET-SS aspirants for Day 1 said that the overall difficulty level ranged from moderate to tough. The candidates found the time-bound sections to be convenient as it provided them ample time to solve the sectional questions. They informed that the questions were on the expected lines and within the syllabus.
In the Oncology group, there were around six questions on Artificial intelligence usage in medical treatment and six questions each on SVC Syndrome and Tumour Lysis Syndrome, eight questions on Febrile Neutropenia, and a few questions on Cisplatin. Some of the questions were a repeat from the last year.
Analysis of Day 2 papers:
NEET SS 2024 aspirants, who appeared on Day 2 i.e. March 30 said that the difficulty level was tough. Reportedly, the questions from the Medical, Surgical, Microbiology, and Psychiatry were on the tougher lines, and the other groups were of moderate level of difficulty.
However, unlike Day 1, the questions were not repeated and the majority of the candidates attempted around 40 to 145 questions out of 150 questions in total.
It is expected that the results of NEET SS 2024 will be declared before April 30, 2025.
