NMC Extends Deadline for all Medical Colleges to submit MBBS admissions info Online
New Delhi: Once again, the Undergraduate Medical Education Board of National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the deadline for the medical colleges for filling up online details/data of students enrolled for 1st year MBBS degree for the academic year 2022-23.
The apex medical board has extended the deadline up to January 16, 2023, after taking note of the fact that the medical colleges did not upload the data within the stipulated time.
"Thus, as a one time measure the date of uploading said data in the NMC portal is once again extended till 16.01.2023. You are, therefore, requested to upload data/details in respect of all the students enrolled for the MBBS degree by your medical colleges by the target date i.e. 16th January, 2023 on priority basis," NMC UG Medical Education Board mentioned in the notice dated January 10, 2023.
"In case the data is not uploaded by the target date, the concerned. colleges will be held responsible for any litigation or complication arises at a later stage," warned the apex medical body.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that previously NMC had set the deadline for online filling of information as 31 December 2022. NMC had issued such a direction to ensure that all the MBBS admissions have been made while adhering to the judicial decisions and MCI / NMC Regulations, to make sure that no admission has been made beyond intake capacity, and eligibility criteria, qualifying marks specified under the Regulation on Graduate Medical Education, 1997 are being followed.

However, taking note of the fact that the medical colleges did not upload the data as a result of difficulties in monitoring the online data of the students, NMC had extended the deadline from December 31 to January 10, 2023.
Despite this, several medical colleges did not submit the data within time. Referring to this, NMC mentioned in the notice issued on January 10, 2023, "Kindly refer to the NMC circular of even number dated 20/12/2022 directing all medical colleges to fill up online details/data of students enrolled for 1st year MBBS degree for the academic year 2022-23. The last date for uploading said data was initially fixed as 31/12/2022, which was subsequently extended upto 10.01.2023. Despite giving sufficient time your medical colleges have not yet uploaded the data/details of the students enrolled for MBBS degree for academic year 2022-23. Non-uploading of data on the online format may entail difficulties in future."
As a one-time measure, NMC has now extended the deadline till January 16 and mentioned, "It is also emphasized that the terms, condition and guidelines issued vide letter of even number dated 20/12/2022. (Copy enclosed) as well as provisions of IMC Act, 1956 and National Medical Commission Act, 2019 are vigorously followed in admissions and uploading above data."
"In case of any difficulty in accessing NMC website or in data entry, an email may be sent to support.ugmonitoring@nmc.org.in, or contact at our toll free no. 1800 11 11 54 (from 9.30AM to 6.00 PM) and the NMC office shall revert immediately to resolve the query/issue," read the notice.
