NMC Nod to 100 MBBS Seats at Alwar Medical College
Jaipur: Bringing good news to the medical aspirants in Rajasthan, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has given its nod for 100 MBBS seats at the Government Medical College, Alwar.
Following the permission from the apex medical education regulatory body, NMC, these 100 MBBS seats will be available for admission from the new academic session 2023-2024.
NMC gave its nod after inspecting the facilities available at the college. After finding the college infrastructure satisfactory for running the MBBS course, NMC granted its permission for the medical college, adds TOI.
The foundation stone for the new medical college in Alwar was laid virtually last year by the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya along with the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shri Ashok Gehlot.

Medical Dialogues had recently reported that it was being proposed tat NMC team would inspect the medical colleges located in Bundi, Dausa, Karauli, Alwar and Hanumangarh. In this regard, the Rajasthan Medical Education Society (RMES), Jaipur had written to the principals of these new medical colleges to stay prepared for the same.
Alerting the heads of those five new medical colleges, RMES had advised them to stay prepared for the awaited NMC inspections. In its order, RMES had mentioned, “The inspections are proposed for soon. In this regard, ensure the preparations according to the norms of NMC. In case, if any help and support regarding basis necessities, budget, equipment, resources, faculty and no faculty staff, inform the office.”
Recently, the NMC team inspected the medical college in Alwar to ensure that it is functioning properly and it has adequate facilities including fully equipped laboratories, teaching faculty, non-teaching staff and other infrastructural facilities according to the norms.
As per the latest media report by the Times of India, after inspecting the medical college and finding its facilities to be satisfactory for running MBBS course, NMC has given its permission for 100 MBBS seats at the medical college for the new academic session 2023-2024.
