NTA cautions against false cases of impersonation using agency, officials' names
New Delhi- Through a notice, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has instructed the general public to be cautious of certain impersonations. NTA has informed that some unscrupulous elements are misusing the name of the NTA and its Officials through various websites. In addition, some other persons are also masquerading as NTA Officials.
With this, in the notice, NTA has also mentioned its two official websites and advised the general public to regularly visit the official websites mentioned by NTA for the latest updates regarding the exam.
NTA has been at the centre of controversies over the recent incidents of alleged paper leaks, malpractices, cheating, impersonation and postponement in the national-level exams such as the National Eligibility and Entrance Test- Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 exam, University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), and Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
Meanwhile, a Supreme Court bench comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra on July 23, 2024, dismissed the petitions seeking re-conduct of the NEET UG 2024 exam due to allegations of paper leak.
Along with this, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) was likely to start the NEET-UG 2024 exam counselling on 24th July 2024. On this, Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the anticipation for the commencement of NEET-UG 2024 exam counselling came after the Supreme Court dismissed the petitions seeking the re-conduct of the exam.
National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established as a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organisation to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. To assess the competence of candidates for admissions and recruitment has always been a challenge in terms of matching with research-based international standards, efficiency, transparency and error-free delivery.
