6 BSc Nursing seats left for open round counselling: JIPMER releases schedule, eligibility criteria, fee details

Puducherry: Through a recent notice, the JIPMER has informed about the conduct of the Final & Open round of counselling for the BSc Nursing course for this academic session admissions.There are a total of 6 seats available for BSc Nursing aspirants in the open round session. Puducherry: Through a recent notice, the JIPMER has informed about the conduct of the Final & Open round of counselling for the BSc Nursing course for this academic session admissions.

There are a total of 6 seats available for BSc Nursing aspirants in the open round session. Seat allocation will be done only through OFFLINE mode. Candidates are requested to read the information thoroughly.

I.Eligibility:
All the eligible candidates as per the Result Notification No. JIP/Dean(A)/EEB.Sc/M.Sc/M.P.H./P.G.D/P.G.F/P.B.D-2020 published on 29.09.2020 (candidates with minimum of 50 percentile & above for UR / EWS / P-UR / P-EWS category, 45 Percentile & above for UR– PwD/P UR- PwD and 40 Percentile & above for remaining categories SC / ST / OBC /-PwD & P- SC / ST / OBC /-PwD can submit their willingness for the final & open counselling).
II. Procedure
1. Login through portal: The eligible candidates will need to register (submit their willingness for Final & Open counselling) themselves for B.Sc. courses Final & Open round of counselling through portal on the JIPMER website. The registration link for the portal will be activated only for the eligible candidates from 30-01-2021 03:00 PM to 01-02-2021 05:00 PM. The eligible candidates will be able to login using the credentials that they used for filling the application form for the B.Sc courses entrance examination for the 2020-21 Academic year. After logging in, the candidates should confirm their willingness to participate in the Final & Open round of counselling.

Only those candidates who have registered/ submitted their willingness online will be permitted to participate in the final & open round of counseling.

2. If a candidate fails to login and register within the specified time period, he/she will NOT be considered for Final & Open round of counselling.
3. Final & Open round of counselling: The seat allocation will be done as per the schedule specified in the Important Dates in the order of category-based merit, roster point reservation and physical appearance of eligible candidates on the day of final & Open counselling.
4. Reporting to JIPMER for admission: Based on the willingness submitted by the candidates, list of candidates will be published. Considering the current pandemic situation and ensuring social distancing, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio 1:10 per seat, if the number of registered candidates is high. ONLY THE CANDIDATES NEED TO REPORT TO JIPMER ON THE DAY OF FINAL & OPEN COUNSELLING (Refer Important dates published with this notice).
5. Exercising option: Based on the category-based merit, roster point reservation and physical appearance of eligible candidates on the day of final & Open counselling .Irrespective of the preferences submitted by the candidate at the first online counselling, candidates can opt seat depending on the vacancy arising at the time of their turn.
6. Payment of fees: Each candidate who is willing to participate in the final & open counselling should deposit a demand draft of Rs.10,000/- in favour of "The Director, JIPMER" towards the security deposit. Candidates have to bring with them this Demand Draft on the day of counselling.(Candidates without Demand Draft shall not be allowed to participate in the Final & open counselling.)
The admission fee shall be paid once the candidate is allotted a seat.

Admission order will be issued only after the physical verification of original Certificates and documents. Subsequently the candidates should complete the admission procedures and pay the admission fees as mentioned in the prospectus 2020.
7. Candidates who have availed of any (constitutional/PwD horizontal) reservation during the counselling process must submit valid original certificates of their claim for the reserved seat when reporting for admission. If a candidate fails to submit a valid original certificate in support of the claim for reserved seat, will not be allowed to participate in the final and open round of counselling. The OBC-NCL/EWS certificate must be valid for admission in Central Government Institutions, as detailed in the Institute Prospectus.
8. Candidates availing PwD horizontal reservation in the final counselling must undergo a medical examination review by a medical board constituted by JIPMER. The decision of the JIPMER Medical Board will be final. If a candidate is found to be ineligible for PwD reservation, he/ she will not be allowed to participate in the final and open round of counselling and he/she will be eligible to appear as UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS candidate in his/her respective category as applicable, but without the PwD reservation provided he/she is otherwise eligible.
Candidates are instructed to check JIPMER website periodically for updates.
Important note:
The Candidates who have applied under Non-Creamy Layer OBC Category and whose sub-caste NOT listed in the current Central OBC List and whose Certificate has NOT been submitted in the prescribed format (B.Sc Prospectus) from the Competent Authority (OR) The candidates who have applied under SC/ST Categories WITHOUT valid Certificate as in the prescribed format (B.Sc Prospectus) from the Competent Authority (OR) The candidates who have applied under EWSs category without valid certificate as in the prescribed format (B.Sc Prospectus) at the time of counseling will be treated as Unreserved candidate and they will be considered only under UR Category as per their merit and similarly for residence of Puducherry.
All candidates are instructed to strictly adhere to the COVID 19 protocols.
