AFMS BSc Nursing admissions 2024: Know eligibility criteria, application process, seat matrix, all details here
New Delhi- Applications have been invited from female candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2024, for admission to four years BSc (Nursing) Course commencing in the year 2024 at the Colleges of Nursing under Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).
Interested candidates can register and apply through the official website of the Indian Army. To apply, candidates need to create an account on the website and log in with their information.
As per the official notification, only female candidates can apply for the programme. The female candidates who are unmarried/ divorced/ legally separated/widowed are eligible to apply for the programme.
It should be noted that candidates will have to submit their National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) scores for the application process starting from 2023 as it is essential to qualify the NEET UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to participate in the Indian Army B.Sc Nursing admission process 2024.
HOW TO APPLY
1 Interested candidates who have qualified the NEET (UG) 2024 may register through the Indian Army official website, which will be accessible after the declaration of NEET (UG) 2024 results. The candidates will be able to register ONLINE by providing their name, mobile number, email ID and other details. The scanned copy of the required documents also needs to be uploaded in the prescribed size and format. The candidate's email id will be the user id for this website and the candidate will select her own password. Candidates must keep a note of their username and password for accessing the website and for all future correspondence.
2 Candidates are requested to make corrections in the filled application form using the EDIT menu and ensure all corrections are made before clicking the SUBMIT button. Correction in the application will not be possible after final submission.
3 All candidates (except SC/ST) will have to pay a sum of Rs 200/- only as an application processing fee through an ONLINE payment gateway. SC/ST candidates have to upload the documentary proof.
4 On successful completion of online payment, a bank reference number (DU number) will be generated and a confirmation page will be displayed. The candidates may note the DU number for all future references (except SC/ST).
5 Candidates may take a printout of the filled application for their own reference along with the payment confirmation page.
6 When the candidates will submit their applications, a provisional registration number called a Reference number will be generated. This number will be sent to the registered email id. The reference number of the candidates will be quoted in all future communications from this Dte.
7 Candidates are requested to visit the JIA website regularly for updates.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates who are going to apply for the Indian Army B.Sc Nursing Admission Process 2024 must be Indian citizens. Also, the candidate must be born between 01 October 1999 and 30 September 2007.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Candidates who are interested in the Indian Army Nursing programme should pass the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent on the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English. Also, the candidate must pass the Class 12 examination with a minimum percentage of 50 per cent from any recognised board or institution.
SELECTION PROCESS
Talking about the selection process, after the selection process, the selected candidates will qualify for the four-year B.Sc Nursing course. A total of 220 seats in 6 Indian Army Colleges will be filled under this admission drive. After the completion of the application process, shortlisting of the candidates will be done through NEET (UG) scores. The shortlisted candidate will have to appear for ToGIGE, Psychological Assessment, Interview and Medical examination that will be held at Base Hospital Delhi Cantt.
