Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the result of Round 1 of Seat Allocation for AIIMS New Delhi & Other AIIMS for BSc Nursing Hons Course - 2023 Session.

The result consists of Roll No, Overall Rank, Category, PWBD, Allotted Institute, and Allotted Seat Category. To view the result, click on the link below -

The Round 1 of seat allocation for B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing Courses at AIIMS New Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Bhatinda, Bhopal, Bilaspur, Bibinagar, Deoghar, Gorakhpur, Jodhpur, Kalyani, Nagpur, Mangalagiri, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, and Raebareli for the Academic Session-2023 has been done on the basis of choices made by eligible candidates (from 11.00 am, 24.07.2023 to 5.00 pm, 28.07.2023).

Online Seat Allocation Completed (1st Round): The Seat Allocation Completed (1st Round) for that category at a rank higher than that of the candidate. The last rank at which the seat (AIIMS)has been allocated in the respective category is given below -

This list includes all candidates who were eligible for the Round 1 of Seat Allocation. Based on the certificates (OBC/EWS) uploaded by the candidates as per the Result Notification No 100/2023 dated 28.06.2023 the preliminary verification of validity of certificates has been done. Accordingly, candidates who had uploaded valid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered in the claimed category, and candidates who did not upload valid certificates or uploaded invalid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered as UR subject to cut-off rank of UR merit list.

Candidates who did not participate in the Round 1 of Seat Allocation are not eligible for Round 2 of Seat Allocation but can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation (if any). Medical Examination & other admission formalities only for AIIMS New Delhi will be done on 14.08.2023 at Conference Hall AIIMS, New Delhi at 09.00 AM sharp.

Procedure to be followed by candidates who have been allotted a B.SC (HONS.) nursing seat in Round 1 of seat allocation -

All candidates who have been allotted a seat at any AIIMS in the Round 1 of Seat Allocation are required to login through the online seat allocation portal by visiting the website www.aiimsexams.ac.inand actively exercise one of the following options starting from 7th August 2023, 10.00 AM till 5.00 PM on 12th August 2023. Failure to select any of the options below will lead to the Cancellation of the allocated AIIMS and the candidate will become ineligible to participate in Round 2.

Option1.ACCEPT allotted Seat and DONOT WISHT TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation Option 2.ACCEPT allotted Seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in ROUND 2 of Seat Allocation

Option 2. ACCEPT allotted Seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in ROUND 2 of Seat Allocation

[If you choose option-2 and participate in the next round and you are allocated another seat as per your choice in the next round, then you will have to join the seat allocated during the next round and the previously allocated seat shall be deemed vacated, and automatically be allocated to other candidates next in merit as per choice. Failure to join the upgraded seat in the next round of seat allocation shall lead to impositions of the penalty of Rs. 1.00 Lakh if you do not join the upgraded seat.]

Instruction for each option is as follows -

Option 1: If the Option of ACCEPT allotted Seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation is selected then,

1. The candidate will have to report at respective AIIMS (as per points 6, 7 & 8 of the information brochure for 1st Round of Seat Allocation dated 22.07.2023) starting from 7th August 2023, 10.00 AM till 5.00 PM on 12th August 2023 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the online seat allocation portal), Seat Allocation Letter/Slip from online Portal and deposit original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1 Lakh only (Rupees One Lakh only) in the name of AIIMS MAIN GRANT along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded only when the original certificates are deposited.

2. It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is OPTING NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN FURTHER ROUNDS OF SEAT ALLOCATION.

3. If original certificates are not deposited at the time of joining, these will have to be submitted by the time specified by the 25th August 2023 at respective AIIMS, otherwise admission will be canceled, the deposited money will be forfeited, and the candidate will not be eligible for any further participation in Seat Allocation.

In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in person by 5.00 PM on 12th August 2023, the admission will stand canceled, and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Seat Allocation. No further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. However, these candidates can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation.

Option 2: If the option of “ACCEPT allotted Seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation” is selected then

The candidate will have to report to the respective AIIMS (as per points 6, 7 & 8 of the information brochure for Round 1 of Seat Allocation dated 22.07.2023) on or before 5.00 PM, 12th August 2023 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the online seat allocation portal) and deposit original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1 Lakh only (Rupees One Lakh only) in the name of AIIMS MAIN GRANT along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded only when original certificates are deposited for joining a seat in any round of seat allocation.

In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in person (as per the Information Brochure) by 5.00 PM on 12th August 2023, the admission will stand canceled, and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Seat Allocation.

The candidate shall be eligible for the 2nd round of Seat Allocation subject to the above.

If in the 2nd Round of seat allocation, a candidate who has chosen option 2 is allocated another seat as per the choice made, then the candidate will have to accept the seat allocated in Round 2 and the seat allocated in the 1st will be released automatically. Such candidates cannot retain seats allotted in Round 1, and failure to join the seat allocated in Round 2 shall lead to the imposition of a penalty of Rs. 1 lakh.

If any candidate who has been allocated a seat in the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation does not respond in any of the above manner, his/her seat allocation shall stand canceled, and he/she shall be ineligible for all further Rounds of Seat Allocation except the Open Round of Seat allocation.

POLICY REGARDING THE DEPOSITING OF DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES/DD –

The claim to the allotted seat by candidates is subject to verification of original documents for eligibility as applicable as well as identity verification of the candidate. If a candidate fails to submit all required certificates (original or photocopies with DD) his/her candidature shall stand canceled, the seat offered in 1st Round shall be vacated for the next Round, and he/she will not be allowed to participate in the 2nd Round of seat allocation process. However, the candidate will be eligible for the Open Round of Seat Allocation (if any).

List of Documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original/DD (one lakh) along with one set of self-attested photocopies as applicable -

1. Offer Letter

2. Seat allocation letter

3. Final Registration Slip

4. Admit Card issued by AIIMS.

5. 10th passing/Birth Certificate showing his/her date of birth.

6. Self-attested copy of the certificate in proof of passing the 12th class under the 10+2 Scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination/Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board.

7. Self-attested copy of the certificate from the Board showing his/her date of birth.

8. Self-attested copy of mark sheet of the qualifying examination i.e. 12th class under 10+2 Scheme/Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination in proof of having secured 50% or more marks (45% in case of SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

The candidate should also bring the following certificate, if applicable -

SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificate issued by the competent authority and should be in English or Hindi language. The community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate. OBC/EWS certificate should be same as provided to Examination Section, AIIMS, New Delhi within due dates.

OBC Certificate should be issued by the competent authority for central Govt. jobs/for admission in Central Govt. College/Institute. The sub-caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. OBC Certificates that are applicable only to respective State Governments shall not be acceptable. OBC certificate must be in the Central Govt. Format as prescribed in the prospectus. OBC Candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer.

The allocated seat of candidates who fail to produce valid certificates of respective constitutional categories (OBC/SC/ST/EWS) will be forfeited. The candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under the UR category subject to conditions applicable to the UR merit list.

Certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disability issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus.

Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation, and seal of the officer should be legible on the certificate.

The allocated seat of candidates who fail to produce valid certificates of the PWBD category will be forfeited. The candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under their respective constitutional categories subject to conditions applicable to their respective merit lists.

POLICIES REGARDING ELIGIBILITY FOR ROUND 2 -

The candidates who have been allocated a seat in the 1stRound and have chosen option 2 (mentioned above) and have fulfilled the requirements shall be eligible for the 2nd Round of Seat Allocation.

All the candidates who were considered in Round 1 but have not been allocated any seat will automatically be eligible for the next round.

All candidates who were eligible for the 1st Round of seat allocation but did not register or fill choices (NR/NP in this notification) shall not be considered eligible for Round 2 of seat allocation but will be eligible for the Open Round of Seat Allocation (if any).

GENERAL RULES ADOPTED FOR ROUND 1 OF ONLINE SEAT ALLOCATION/ COUNSELLING -

Merit shall be the guiding principle for seat allocation.

The merit list as published in the Result Notification No. 100/2022 dated 28/06/2023 shall be used to determine merit. The eligibility of claim to OBC/EWS seat was subjected to uploading of valid certificates as mentioned in Result Notification No. 100/2023 and a subsequent email sent to registered email addresses of candidates.

All candidates whether of the unreserved or appropriate reserved category shall be eligible for the unreserved category seat/Institute in order of merit

Unreserved category candidates are not eligible for reserved category seats/Institute

For an available seat/Institute in a particular category/ preference, a candidate higher in merit shall be allotted the seat over a candidate lower in merit.

The validity of the OBC (NCL) certificate shall be from 04.06.2022 to 12.06.2023 (both dates inclusive). Certificates issued within this period shall be accepted only.

The validity of the EWS certificate shall be from 01.04.2023 to 12.06.2023 (both dates inclusive). Certificates issued within this period shall be accepted only.

The seats/Institutes available for allocation are: Unreserved (UR), OBC (Other Backward Class), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Economically Weak Section (EWS), PWBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability)

Unreserved seat (Institute): All candidates are eligible as per merit list

OBC seat(Institute): Only OBC candidates are eligible as per the merit list subjected to online submission of a valid caste Certificate within the due date as per Result Notification No. 100/2023 and Subsequent representation through Email to the registered Email Address or in person.

SC seat (Institute): Only SC candidates are eligible

ST seat (Institute): Only ST candidates are eligible

EWS seat (Institute): Only EWS candidates are eligible as per the merit list and online submission of valid caste Certificates within the due date as per Result Notification No. 100/2023 and Subsequent Email to the registered Email Address or in person.

PWBD seat (Institute): Only PWBD candidates are eligible

All reservations other than for PWBD are vertical reservations (reserved only in the respective categories)

PWBD Reservations are horizontal reservations (across categories)according to a point-based roster as mentioned in the prospectus

Seats (Institute) remaining vacant after allocation to eligible PWBD candidates of respective categories will be released for seat allocation in their respective categories in the same round

Every candidate has been allocated a Seat (Institute) as per his/her best choice provided, as available at that rank for the 1stRound.

If at a particular rank for a candidate, the best choice of the candidate is available in both the open merit (unreserved) as well as a reserved category (wherever applicable) then the seat (Institute) has been allocated under the unreserved category and not the reserved category.

Seat (Institute) in the reserved category for a reserved candidate shall be allocated only if there is no corresponding seat (Institute) available in the unreserved category for the best choice of the candidate available at that rank

If a PWBD (PWD) candidate gets a better choice in the open merit UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS he/she has been given that choice

For Persons with Benchmark Disability (more than 40%), a 5% horizontal reservation shall be followed for the seats (Institute), and allocation has been done on the basis of merit.

PWBD candidates are eligible only for the category to which he/she belongs i.e. If a candidate belongs to a reserved category, he /she is eligible for a seat (Institute) only under that category and not in the unreserved category (horizontal reservation)

Eligible PWBD candidates of the UR category can avail of a reserved seat (Institute) only in the UR category

Eligible PWBD candidates of the OBC category can avail of a reserved seat (Institute) only in the OBC category

Eligible PWBD candidates of the SC category can avail of a reserved seat (Institute) only in the SC category

Eligible PWBD candidates of the ST category can avail of a reserved seat (Institute) only in the ST category

Eligible PWBD candidates of the EWS category can avail of a reserved seat (Institute) only in the ST category

Vacant seats (AIIMS/Specialty) in round 1 of seat allocation shall be allotted in subsequent rounds by following the above rules.

Round 2 will be initiated after the completion of Round 1. Exercising of Choices will not be opened for Round 2 of Seat allocation and Choices selected by candidate earlier in choice filling Round will be considered for Round 2.

All candidates must read the Information Brochure for round 1 of Seat Allocation, instructions given in the offer letter & Email sent to the registered Email address.

Participation in round 1 was mandatory to be eligible for round 2 of seat allocation for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing courses, 2023 session.
