Puducherry: The premier Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER) has invited applications for MSc Nursing 2020 admissions.

Interested candidates can view the important details as mentioned below including the eligibility criteria, schedule, applications process, fee and other details.

M.Sc. Nursing Course (Course Code: 8907)
ELIGIBILITY:-
 Passed the qualification of B.Sc. Nursing Degree of this Institute or any other University accepted as equivalent thereof.
 Should have registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Mid-wifery.
 B.Sc. Nursing graduate should have at least one year of experience in a hospital or in a College or in a School of Nursing or in Community Health Program after registration with the State Nursing Council. The experience should be complete on or before 01.09.2020.
 Minimum of one year of work experience prior or after Post-basic B.Sc. Nursing 01.09.2020
 In case of male candidates, they should have passed any other course recommended by Indian Nursing Council in the place of Midwifery. Those who have studied Midwifery are eligible only for admission to the branches II and V.
 Candidates shall be medically fit.
 Candidates who have obtained Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (P.B. B.Sc. Nursing) qualification from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) are NOT eligible for admission to M.Sc. (Nursing) course at JIPMER.
How to apply?
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION : THROUGH ONLINE MODE ONLY. ON LINE APPLICATION USER INTERFACE : ANNEXURE – IX
1) Candidates seeking admission to entrance examination are required to apply online mode only. (Any other mode of application will not be accepted.)
2) Visit JIPMER Main Home page at www.jipmer.edu.in. and navigate to the link "Apply online for JIPMER B.Sc./M.Sc./ M.P.H./ P.G.D./P.G.F./Ph.D./ P.B.D. Courses Admission - 2020".
3) Read the prospectus and instructions carefully.
4) The procedure for filling the application online is given in Appendix (ANNEXURE – IX) of this Prospectus.
5) A CANDIDATE CAN APPLY IN ANY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COURSES SUBJECT TO FULFILLING THE ESSENTIAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
6) Candidates applying for M.Sc Nursing, Post Basic Diploma in Nursing, MPH & Post Graduate Diploma in Genetic Counseling should appear in a separate entrance examination which will be held on 22.09.2020 (Tuesday)as scheduled below:
PBD Course/ MSc Nursing Course / Post Graduate Diploma in Genetic Counseling Course/ MPH Course : 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM
Separate Merit list will be drawn for each course as well as discipline wise.
Dual course study is not allowed to any candidate i.e Candidate will not be allowed to pursue two courses simultaneously
7) Candidates need NOT send hard copy of the application to this office.
Application Fees

Application fees for each category as mentioned below to be paid by the candidate using ANY ONE of the following modes of payment.
No other mode of payment will be accepted.

Note:- The candidates are advised to read the Prospectus before starting online registration and ensure that no column is left blank. Request for rectification of any error committed in the application and refund of fees will not be considered under any circumstances.


Entrance Examination
 Entrance Examination will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) [Online] only. The examination shall be held on Tuesday, 22nd SEPTEMBER, 2020.
 The duration of the examination shall be 1½ hours (One Hour and Thirty minutes).
 The Online (CBT) Entrance Examination will be conducted in Single shift as detailed below:
PBD / PGD / PGF/ M.Sc. / MPH Course :- 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM
Therefore all candidates will be required to appear at CBT Online Entrance Examination, which will be conducted on Tuesday, 22nd SEPTEMBER, 2020.
 The venue and time of the examination will be mentioned in the Admit Card/Hall Ticket.
 No candidate will be permitted to appear in the examination unless he/she holds a valid "Admit Card/Hall ticket" issued by the Institute and a proof of their identification
