MSc Nursing 2022: JIPMER Issues Notice On Final Open Counseling, check out schedule, details
Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) has issued a Notice regarding Admission in MSc Nursing Courses for 2022-23 Academic Year.
Final & Open Counseling for admission to MSc Nursing Courses 2022-23 Academic Year is going to be held soon and the schedule has been released for 3 MSc Nursing seats.
With reference to the above, the Final & Open counseling for admission to MSc Nursing Courses is scheduled on 28.09.2022 (Wednesday) to fill up the seats mentioned below: -

*New vacancy/ vacancies may arise in the aforesaid courses till the day of counselling if any student discontinues from his/ her course in this time period. Further, new vacancy/ vacancies may arise in the aforesaid courses on the day of counselling where any student who has already joined in any of these courses is changing his/ her course at the time of final & open counselling.

PROVISIONALLY ELIGIBLE MSc NURSING CANDIDATES FOR THE FINAL & OPEN COUNSELING
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES ATTENDING COUNSELING
ï‚· The allotment of seats will be done through counseling as per the Roster Point Reservation as mentioned in Annexure-B. First Counseling for MSc Nursing Courses held on 24.08.2022 ended at Sl. No.30 of the Roster Point. Hence, the Final & open counseling will start at Roster Point Sl. No.31 (Refer Annexure-B).
ï‚· It is essential that the candidate has to appear in person for the counseling. Representation of candidates by any other authorized person will not be permitted for counseling under any circumstances.
ï‚· Those candidates who have already taken admission to any of the MSc Nursing courses at JIPMER during the First Counseling for MSc Nursing Courses held on 24.08.2022 are also eligible to participate in the Final & open counseling. These candidates who hold a seat have to submit a letter in this regard addressed to Dean (Academic), JIPMER forwarded by the Principal, College of Nursing and submit in the Academic Section, JIPMER on or before 4:30 PM, 21.09.2022. Further, if these candidates OPT for any course in the Final and open counseling they have to pay the necessary fees afresh as mentioned in the Prospectus.
ï‚· The registration for counseling closes strictly at 10:30 AM.
ï‚· MSc Nursing Candidates must possess one year completed work experience by 31.07.2022. The experience will be calculated after the date of registration in the state nursing council.
ï‚· Candidates opting for a seat in the Final & Open should submit all the original certificates and pay the required fees on the same day i.e. on 28.09.2022 (Wednesday).
ï‚· The candidates are required to refer to the prospectus for details on counseling and admission process. All the original certificates listed overleaf must be produced for verification on the date of counseling i.e. 28.09.2022.
ï‚· Candidates who avail any (constitutional OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD horizontal) reservation during the counselling process must submit valid original certificates of their claim for the reserved seat during the certificate verification process. If a candidate fails to submit a valid original certificate in support of the claim for reserved seat, the candidate will be considered only under the unreserved category.
ï‚· The OBC-NCL/EWS certificate must be valid for admission in Central Government Institutions, as detailed in the Institute Prospectus. Further, OBC-NCL certificate should have been obtained on or after 31.07.2021.
ï‚· The seat allotted candidates should undergo medical examination on 28.09.2022 by the medical board duly constituted by JIPMER.
ï‚· Candidates availing PwD horizontal reservation in the counselling must undergo a medical examination review by a medical board duly constituted by JIPMER. The decision of the JIPMER Medical Board will be final. If a candidate is found to be ineligible for PwD reservation, the allotment of reserved seat will be cancelled.
ï‚· Candidates are instructed to check JIPMER website periodically for updates.
ï‚· Covid-19 Vaccine 2nd Dose Certificate is mandatory for attending counselling.
ï‚· Candidates are advised to make necessary arrangements for their accommodation on the days of counseling and subsequent admission procedures including medical examination.
List of certificates/ documents:
1. Proof of Date of Birth (X Standard Certificate or Birth Certificate)
2. Consolidated Mark sheet / Statement of marks of the qualifying examination (BSc Nursing)
3. Degree Certificate / Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination
4. Community Certificate (For OBC/SC/ST candidates only)
5. Economically Weaker Sections Certificate (For EWSs candidates only)
6. NOC from the Employer (If the candidate is currently working)
7. Experience Certificate - MSc Nursing candidates should have at least one year of experience in a hospital or in a College or in a School of Nursing or in Community Health Program after BSc Nursing and registration with a State Nursing Council. The experience should be completed on or before 31.07.2022. (Ref. prospectus for more details)
8. Permanent Medical Registration Certificate/ Nursing council registration certificate issued by State/Central Medical/Nursing Council (applicable for Medical / Nursing Graduates)
9. Medical Certificate in case of PwD Candidate.
10. Transfer Certificate / Migration Certificate
11. Course cum conduct Certificate
12. Covid-19 Vaccine 2nd Dose Certificate
13. Student Verification Form printout: All the eligible candidates (Annexure A) should fill the student verification form by clicking the link given below and submit before reporting to JIPMER: https://www.digialm.com//EForms/configuredHtml/827/68596/application.html A hard copy of the filled-in form should be produced on the day of counseling.
14. Score card downloaded through the link published in JIPMER website on 01.08.2022.
15. Three sets of photocopies of all the aforesaid certificates/ documents.
16. Five passport size colour photos without placard.
COUNSELLING PROCEDURE: -
ï‚· The candidates will be called based on the reservation roster point and their merit rank.
ï‚· Depending on the seat availability, candidates can Opt or Opt-Out the seat during their turn.
ï‚· MSc Nursing candidates who opt for a seat should pay the course fee of Rs. 14,910/-.
ï‚· The seat allotted candidates should undergo medical examination on 28.09.2022 by the medical board duly constituted by JIPMER
ï‚· Failure of a candidate to complete the due procedure of admission within the time specified will lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat.
ï‚· The academic programs for MSc Nursing courses have already commenced on 01.09.2022 (Thursday).
Note: Hostel accommodation for the seat allotted (outstation) candidates will be done on 29.09.2022 subject to availability.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The Candidates who have applied under Non-Creamy Layer OBC Category and whose sub-caste NOT listed in the current Central OBC List and whose Certificate has NOT been submitted in the prescribed format (as in Institute Prospectus) from the Competent Authority (OR) The candidates who have applied under SC/ST Categories WITHOUT valid Certificate as in the prescribed format (as in Institute Prospectus) from the Competent Authority (OR) The candidates who have applied under EWSs category without valid certificate as in the prescribed format (as in Institute Prospectus) at the time of counseling will be treated as Unreserved candidate and they will be considered only under UR Category as per their merit.
