Nursing admissions: Seats left vacant after mop up round, WBUHS asks private colleges to conduct decentralised institutional level counselling
West Bengal: Seats are still vacant after completion of the last round of mop-up counselling by WBJEEB for JENPAS-UG 2022 and ANM&GNM Exam 2022 in some non-government institutions, announced West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS).
To fill up the vacant seats for BSc Nursing & GNM course at different non-government institutions, a decentralized counselling process is being allowed at the institutional level at private institutions provided they maintain the requisite as per INC criteria, i.e. candidates should possess GMR in JENPAS-UG for BSc Nursing & GNM from WBJEEB and other eligibility criteria specified by INC.
It will be the responsibility of individual institutions to check the eligibility and ensure from the rank card of the candidates whether the candidate is eligible for admission. No candidates from outside states will be allowed to undergo training in this state. This will be applicable only for the academic session 2022-2023.
The West Bengal University of Health Sciences came into existence on 1st January. From 2003 the University took up the responsibility of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Post-doctoral courses, including the Ph. D program in Modern System of Medicine, Homoeopathic System of Medicine, Ayurvedic System of Medicine, Unani System of Medicine, Nursing Education, Pharmacy Education, Dental Education, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, and Education on other paramedical courses like Occupational Therapy and Prosthetics-Orthotics in the state of West Bengal.
Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that WBUHS invited submission of PG Dissertation for the MDS course academic year 2020-2023. PG Dissertation is invited from the students admitted during the academic year 2020 -2023 (for MDS 3 years PG degree course). The candidates can apply from 15th September – 15th October 2022 at https://wbuhs.ac.in/sdm/login. The students, who have not yet registered with this portal, need to register first, to submit their Dissertation/ Thesis through this portal. Then, they need to click on the Register option to register as a new user on the same Login page. The OTP verification will be done once they submit their details.
