In view of this, a Para Medical Council will be formed on the lines of the nursing council, pharmacy council & medical council with 10 members including the Chairman. With this system, it will be easier for institutions to follow the updates of the courses and they will have correct information about the registered students.
The council will supervise the affiliated Institutions/colleges on all India bases. It do not have any concern with any other council (Government-non-government) U.G.C. etc. For effective health services now there is need that entire programme should be at national level to be reviewed to move with new medical developments.
It has been established so that workers may get rural atmosphere which may help them to work in rural and urban areas. Therefore, the council is promoting paramedical sciences and health education in the country also creating a bend of well trained Para Medical personals.
"We are proud to inform that our Institutions stands in therefore front of similar institutes in India as on our quality knowledge & training as well as students in Medical Technology. These courses are job oriented and self employment courses. The candidates after doing these courses can apply for the Government, Semi Government, Semi Private or Private Institutions for the job if there are vacancies but we do not take any guarantee for any kind of job," said the official portal of the council.
At the time of registration, the valid certificates of the students doing paramedical will also be checked. Due to this, those taking fake degrees and running laboratories illegally will also be caught. The preparations for the formation of this council have been completed in the department. It is believed that soon it will get the approval of the cabinet, Drishti IAS reports
