DME Assam Invites Application For Admission Into Paramedical Courses
Assam: The Director of Medical Education (DME Assam) has invited applications from candidates seeking admission into Paramedical courses for the 2022 session.
The candidates must submit the filled-up application forms with the required documents mentioned below at Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati, Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, Silchar Medical College, Silchar, Jorhat Medical College, Jorhat, FAA. Medical College, Barpeta, and Tezpur Medical College, Tezpur (whichever is convenient) on or before 28th February 2023.
No application will be entertained after the last date of application submission. The application should be put inside an envelope and written explicitly as "Application for Paramedical Courses". Applications sent via Post/ E-mail to the office of the DME, Assam, will not be accepted.
The following are the institute included –
1. Institute of Paramedical Science, Guwahati
2. Institute of Paramedical Science, Dibrugarh
3. Institute of Paramedical Science, Silchar
4. Institute of Paramedical Science, Jorhat
5. Institute of Paramedical Science, Barpeta
6. Institute of Paramedical Science, Tezpur
The candidates have to submit the attested copy of the following documents along with the registration form –
1. Passport-size photograph pasted on the form in the space provided
2. Admit Card of HSLC Examination (Age proof)
3. Mark Sheet and Pass Certificate of HSSLC or equivalent Examination
4. Caste Certificate (Wherever applicable)
5. Permanent Resident Certificate of Assam
6. Certificate in support of quota applied for (Wherever applicable)
7. Unemployed Family Quota Certificate recently issued by local MLA (if applicable)
Eligibility criteria –
1. The candidates should be citizens of India.
2. The candidates should be permanent residents of Assam and must furnish a certificate. The provision of a Permanent Resident Certificate shall not apply to the Sons/ Daughters of the Govt. of Assam employees.
3. The minimum qualification for selection of the candidates is HSSLC (Sc.) (10+2) (in the year 2022 or earlier) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 45% marks in case of General Candidates and 40% for OBC/MOBC, SC, ST (P) and ST (H) candidates.
4. The candidates must be within the age limit of 17-24 years on 31st December 2022. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC/MOBC, SC, ST (P) and ST (H) candidates. Age relaxation is applicable for the DIBYANG candidates as per existing norms of the Government of Assam.
Suppose two or more candidates are found to obtain equal total marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In that case, intense merit amongst them will be determined by the marks obtained by the candidates in Biology in the Final HSSLC or equivalent examination. If two or more candidates are found to secure the same position by this process also, then intense merit will be determined by the marks secured in Chemistry in the final HSSLC or equivalent examination; if it further tallies, then the older candidate shall be selected.
