DME Tripura Clarifies on Allowing Paramedical Candidates For Practical Internship At Govt Institutes, Hospitals
Tripura: The Director of Medical Education (DME Tripura) has issued clarification related to allowing candidates of Paramedical Courses for Practical training/Internship at Government Institutions/Hospitals in Tripura.
As per the notice, only sponsored Paramedical candidates from the Government of Tripura having studied Paramedical Courses in institutions outside the state of Tripura will be allowed to undergo training/internship in Government Institutions of Tripura with payment of prescribed fees following their respective successful completion of the Paramedical Courses.
This clarification is issued per the Government's approval .vide U.O.N0.3552/Secy/HFW/19, Dated 25/10/19. The other clauses of the said guideline will remain the same as per notification NO.7 (37)-DME/TRG/2012, Dated:- 14/06/13.
The Directorate of Medical Education under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Tripura, started functioning on 15th October 2011. This Directorate deals with matters relating to Medical Education, like Medical Colleges, Regional Pharmacy Colleges, Nursing Colleges in Government and Private Sector, Nursing Education, Paramedical Education etc. This Directorate conducts Post Graduate courses in respect of some medical colleges. The combined counselling for admission in MBBS, BDS and PG Seats of State Quota and different Paramedical Courses, GNM and ANM are conducted by this Directorate.
The candidates who have passed 10+2 exams or equivalent qualifications with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at 17 years of age on 31st December of the applying year are only eligible to apply for paramedical admissions across the state.
Objectives of DME –
1. To provide Specialist Medical Care and medical services to people through Teaching Hospitals
2. To impart Quality Medical Education to Under Graduates, Graduates, Post Graduates and Diploma Students through training in Medical, Paramedical, Pharmacy and Nursing Courses through Medical Colleges and Teaching Hospitals, pharmacies, Paramedical and Nursing Institutions and attached Hospitals.
3. To encourage and conduct Research and Development
