Transparency or Formality? NEET PG 2025 answer key draws flak

NEET PG Answer Key
New Delhi: Complying with the Supreme Court's earlier directions, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has finally released the scorecard and final answer key for the National Eligibility-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2025 examination.
However, candidates who appeared in the NEET PG exam have expressed their disappointment with the pattern of the NEET PG 2025 answer key. Taking to social media platforms, the candidates expressed their concerns about the alleged discrepancies in the answer key.
Referring to the fact that NBE released the answer key after the publication of results, some of the candidates termed it a mere formality on the part of the Board to comply with the Apex Court's order.
Taking to social media, the X handle of NEET PG Marks Discrepancy questioned the rationale behind releasing the answer key now, and mentioned, "Whats the point in releasing such Answer key? Just to save themselves from supreme court order! We are magically supposed to remember all the 200 questions along with the order of questions and the options and of course what options we marked!"
Dr. Vinod Bagra pointed out that the NEET PG 2025 answer key was released without showing the actual questions asked in the exam. He also pointed out that the answer key has question IDs, rather than the questions themselves.
"NEET PG 2025 answer key released without showing the actual questions asked in the exam, questions are assigned id then answers are given, no reveal of actual questions..," he wrote in an X post.
Mocking the way the answer key has been released, an X user wrote, "The neet pg answer key gives a dejavu of school times when we were just allowed to count marks in the name of checking papers!"
One user compared the answer key released by NBE with Morse Code and wrote, "Breaking fake news NMC introduces Morse Code as a new MBBS subject to help students decode NEET PG answer key smoothly."
Over the years, NEET-PG aspirants have been demanding the release of the answer key for the PG medical entrance exam to bring transparency in the examination process. Several pleas were filed before the Supreme Court seeking the release of NEET PG 2025 answer key.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that finally, NBEMS decided to publish the NEET PG answer key in 2025, following the Supreme Court's orders dated April 29 to publish the raw scores, answer keys, and normalisation formula for transparency in multi-shift NEET-PG exams. Along with the correct answer key, NBEMS had also decided to share the answers marked by the candidates for the respective questions.
The NEET PG exam for the academic year 2025 was held on August 3, 2025, and the result was declared on August 29, 2025.
