A separate collaboration agreement will be developed to detail the specific activities planned for the partnership.
“This is an excellent partnership for our college and university,” said Dr. Anurag Saxena, associate dean, Postgraduate Medical Education, at the USask College of Medicine. “We are excited to move forward on articulating the activities of the partnership, and anticipate these will lead to the advancement of both our colleges.”
Prof. (Dr.) Piyush Gupta, Principal of UCMS, Delhi, India, expressed, "This collaboration goes beyond a mere agreement; it's a pact to foster an environment of inclusivity, where the exchange of knowledge and experiences will not only transcend geographical boundaries but also contribute significantly to the global narrative of higher education. This MoU presents a chance to lead by example, embracing a model of continuous learning and unlearning, while maintaining global relevance and advancing both medical education and social accountability.
As we embark on this journey, we recognize the transformative power of diversity and the imperative to intertwine our destinies for a more inclusive and equitable future."
Prof. (Dr.) Satendra Singh, Secretary of the International Cell and the designated point of contact for this MoU from UCMS, emphasized the common thread of diversifying our university communities that binds our institutions together. Together, USask and UCMS are poised to chart a course that not only respects the richness of our individual contexts but also cultivates a shared vision of excellence, compassion, and societal impact.
